Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect even a flaw which causes neither transmitted light nor reflected light to shift in peak position by providing plural photosensors and detecting outputs of photosensors other than photosensors which detect the main light of the transmitted or reflected light. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving part S is arranged on the rear surface side of, for example, a sheet body 1 to be inspected and consists of the photosensors S1, S2 ... arrayed in matrix. One photosensor is almost as large as a circular light beam transmitted through the sheet body 1. When a light beam transmitted through a nondefective sheet body 1 reaches the sensor S5, the beam is received only by the sensor S5 and none of other sensors detects it. If the sheet body 1 has a flow an elliptic image is formed on the light receiving part S, so sensors other than the sensor S5 also detect the light even although the position of the main light is on the sensor S5. For the purpose, a detection part D removes the output of the sensor S5 and detects the outputs of the sensors at its periphery to detect the flaw.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out firm fixing at a high speed by irradiating a recording paper with flash light two times or more, removing moisture of a recording paper and fixing a toner image, after radiation heat energy is given to the recording paper on which the toner image is formed and the recording paper and the toner image are preheated. CONSTITUTION:Toner image 10 formed in and on the recording paper 2 is preheated by the radiation heat energy given by a halogen lamp 1, for instance, and irradiated with the first flash light from a xenon lamp 4, for instance. After the moisture of the recording paper 2 is mainly removed by the light energy, the toner image 10 is irradiated with the second flash light from the xenon lamp 5, and the toner image 10 is mainly fixed by the light energy. Thus the dependence on the type or moisture percentage of the recording paper mostly disappears and the firm fixing is carried out at a high speed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a printing slippage between faces by executing duplex printing to a printing paper which is traveling between two pieces of photosensitive bodies opposed to each other, by utilizing a surface potential difference of each photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 1A rotating at an equal speed to a rotary drum 1B in the direction as indicated with an arrow is exposed uniformly by a pre-exposing light source 2A, further a primary electrification is uniformly performed by a primary electrifier 3A. Subsequently, an electrification whose polarity is opposite to that of the primary electrification is performed to the drum 1A by a secondary electrifier 4A, or a charge generated by the primary electrification is decreased. Next, information such as a character, an image, etc. to be printed is exposed to the drum 1A by a light beam LA, thereafter a latent image which is formed on the drum 1A is brought to a toner development by a developing device 6A. Thereafter, an electrification is performed to the drum 1A and a toner image thereon by a pre-transfer electrifier 7A, and the toner image on the drum 1A is transferred to printing paper P which contacts the drum 1A and runs, by utilizing a surface potential difference of the drums 1A, 1B. In this way, a printing shift of both faces can be prevented.

SOLUTION: This developing device 20 is constituted so that a toner image is developed by transferring the dry type developer magnetically attracted to the circumference of the developing roll 22 on a photoreceptor while regulating the thickness thereof to a prescribed thickness by a regulation member 25. The developing device 20 is further provided with a suppression means 26 suppressing the bristle height of the dry type developer at the end part of the roll 22. The gap between the suppression means 26 and the surface of the roll 22 is set so as to be narrower than the prescribed thickness and wider than three times the carrier grain diameter of the dry type developer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for preventing falsification, with excellent workability by coloring the surroundings of a printing part with a coloring component included in toner. SOLUTION: In the case of forming an image on a printed material, the surroundings of the printing part are colored by the coloring component included in the toner. By this constitution, the surroundings of the printing part of the printed material are colored so that even if toner grains are physically removed to attempt the falsification of the numbers of securities, etc., in the case the fixation of toner powder is insufficient, evidence of printing is left because a surrounding part is colored, to prevent such an illegal falsification. As the printed material, an arbitrary one can be used. In other words, a special limit is not set but preferably a sheet of paper is used. Further, as the surroundings, normally most of the surroundings of the printing part are mentioned but it is good that the surroundings of at least a part of the printing part are obtained. Further, as the image forming method, it is preferable that an electrophotographic method can be used.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a device for separating a feed means to simplify a feeder by a method wherein in a printer capable of printing on continuous paper and a cut sheet, a confluence of a cut sheet feed path and a continuous paper feed path is determined to be between a final cut sheet feed means and a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A cut sheet 2 payed out of a cut sheet supply part disposed upward is fed into a feed path through a pair of resist rollers 4 and a pair of feed rollers 6. On the other hand, continuous paper 8 payed out of a continuous paper supply part disposed downward is fed into the feed path by a tractor 10. On the feed path, a printing part containing a photosensitive drum 13 is disposed, and a guide part 18 is provided for guiding the cut sheet 2 and the continuous paper 8 to an image transfer position P of the photosensitive drum 13. In this case, a confluence 43 of the cut sheet 2 and the continuous paper 8 is provided in the guide part 18. In this manner, even when a printing mode for the cut sheet 2 is changed over to that for the continuous paper 8, the continuous paper 8 can be fed to the confluence 43 without separating a cut sheet feed means.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a ground from becoming dirty by defectively charged toner particles by transferring toner particles from a carrying roll to an intermediate roll by flying without bringing the bristles of a magnetic brush into contact with the toner particles. CONSTITUTION:When toner particles 3 and carrier particles 4 are mixed and stirred by stirrers 6, 7, the toner particles 3 are rubbed with the carrier particles 4, the toner particles 3 are electrostatically charged to a required polarity by friction and the bristles of the magnetic brush obtained by holding the toner particles 3 on the surface of the carrier particle 4 can be formed on a carrying roll 8. When the carrying roll 8 is rotated in an arrow direction, the height of the bristles of the magnetic brush is aligned by ear cutting plates 1, 2, and when the ears are opposed to an intermediate roll 9, only the toner particles 3 are dispersed to the intermediate roll 9 by an electric field formed by a bias voltage and the layer of the toner particles is stuck to the roll 9. Namely, only the toner particles having high charging characteristics are transferred to the roll 9 and then transferred to a developing roll to transfer the toner particles to a photosensitive body. Consequently, ground dirt due to the toner particles having defective charging characteristics can be suppressed.
