Abstract:
The invention concerns a spring (4) comprising two branches (41, 42) linked by a bend (40) such that the branches form, in neutral position, an acute angle, said branches being elastically deformable relative to each other in a pivoting movement about the bend. The invention is characterised in that it comprises an accumulation of energy (43, 44) providing the spring with initial resistance to deformation with a resistance threshold to be overcome to continue bringing sharply together the two branches.
Abstract:
A spray dispensing head (17) for a squeeze dispenser (1) is disclosed. The dispensing head (17) includes passageways (12, 14) for directing streams of air and liquid to a mixing chamber (15) wherein the liquid is broken up into droplets and emitted as a fine spray through an orifice (16). The device includes a valve (10) which is operated by a pull-push motion. When the valve (10) is closed, the liquid is sealed off from the atmosphere, thus preventing drying or contamination of the liquid product.
Abstract:
The invention realizes a spraying device for dispensing liquids under the form of foam by the deformation of a container achieved by squeezing with a hand, comprising: a first body (3) provided with means of watertight coupling (31, 32) to the neck of said container; said first body enclosing a first chamber (33) where the air-liquid mixture is made and having at least one filter element (5) fitted on the spraying duct of said mixture suited to form the required foam and valve devices (64) to restore the air inside the container. Said device also comprising: a second body (6) suited to determine with said first body (5, 6) a second chamber (61) suited to containing the volume of liquid found in a suction tube (7) in said container, thereby preventing liquid from being discharged during the first spray.
Abstract:
The invention relates to foamable liquid dispensers of the type where foamable liquid and air are mixed. The problem associated with foam dispensers is the inconsistency in the foams characteristics when dispensed throughout a range of manual squeeze conditions. The foamer includes a squeeze bottle (10) and a device (20, 30) for simultaneously restricting flow of the compressible fluid (130) and incompressible fluid (140) until a predetermined threshold pressure is developed within the bottle by manual deformation thereof. Thus, foam (170) is not dispensed from the bottle until a pressure is developed within the bottle sufficient to produce a desirable foam.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A water-in-air emulsion or suspension containing a dispensible material is formed by stabilization of small droplets (48) of aqueous liquid with an interfacial barrier of very fine, hydrophobic metal oxide particles (42) such as silane modified silica. As the droplets (48) are subjected to shear such as during passage through an orifice (28), and/or on the surface of the target, the shear forces experienced at least partially destabilize the barrier allowing the droplets to coalesce to form particles of controlled density and increased size and eventually can be totally destabilized into an elegant cream or lotion. At least 10% of the droplets may coalesce into particles after leaving the orifice. Active ingredients such as antiperspirants may be added to either the aqueous liquid phase or to the powder phase as long as they do not destabilize the suspension. A non-pressurized system comprises a container (10) suitable for dispensing the suspension having a compartment (14) receiving the suspension, a valve means (18) having an outlet orifice (28) of a dimension adapted to impart a preselected shear and destabilization to the suspension and the container being adapted to enable the suspension to be propelled through the outlet orifice. Other dispensing systems include shaker-top containers and roll-on applicators.
