PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jumping out of a core fiber layer and occurrence of the contact surface of drum and sheave even under severe conditions of tension and bending action in the whole length through a small-diameter drum and a large number of small-diameter guide rollers and to provide a fiber rope having a low elongation to load and high tenacity. SOLUTION: The fiber rope includes a core fiber layer and a braided outer fiber layer covering the core fiber layer and has an effective sectional area ratio and a core fiber layer content in a region enclosed by A, B and C in a figure exhibiting a relation between the effective sectional area ratio (%) and the core fiber content (%) shown as Fig.1 in an attached drawing. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braided rope capable of suppressing the flow of its content such as a powdery material, granular material, or the like included in the braided rope, within the rope, and also to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: This braided rope 1 is provided by arranging a core material 2 continuing along the longitudinal direction of the braided rope in the vicinity of the center of the braided rope, and sealing the powdery material or granular material 3 between the core material and a braided fibrous yarns constituting the braided rope. The method for producing the same is provided by arranging a weaving machine 4 below a powdery or granular material supplying part 5 in advance, arranging the core material continuing in vertical direction while penetrating through the supplying part and knitting machine, weaving the braided fibrous yarns 11 around the core material by the weaving machine, also supplying the powdery material or granular material from the supplying part to a position where the braided fibrous yarns are woven, and lowering the core material in accordance with a speed at which the braided fibrous yarns are woven.

The invention relates to a heavy-duty roundsling, which comprises an endless load-bearing core containing multiple turns of a strand material comprising high-performance fibres, and a protective cover made from interlaced strands comprising high-performance fibres, and wherein the mass ratio of high-performance fibres in the core to high-performance fibres in the cover is from 0.15 to 2.0. Said roundsling shows an advantageous combination of properties, like high strength, low weight, and high durability; enabling a higher number of lifting operations than known metal or synthetic slings, especially of heavy goods with e.g. sharp edges.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain twisted wire made of a fiber-reinforced resin, which has improved winding properties on a winder, a ready wire dividing operation at end parts and excellent adhesive power to concrete and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The twisted wire 1 made of the fiber-reinforced resin is obtained by twisting and forming a plurality of wires 2, heating and curing the formed twisted wires, mutually dividing the cured twisted wires into each wire 2 and retwisting the wires. Disclosed is a method for producing a high strength synthetic strength member containing rope and a resultant rope, comprising multiple layers of twisted and braided yarns, wherein individual sheaths enclosing individual strands are of a material such as HMPE, PTFE or UHMWPE with a lower decomposition temperature than the material of said strands being aramid, the method comprising subjecting parts of the rope to heat and tension thereby pre-stretching and creating a non-uniform or non-round shape of said strands, further choosing a combination of braid and twist angles as well as braid compressive forces to accommodate specific strength and elongation relation between the individual rope layers.
Abstract:
This application relates to cable assemblies with an outer (exterior) layer formed from braiding materials together. To achieve a desired pattern, a machine tool forming the outer layer undergoes several modifications. For a machine tool with two tracks (e.g., inner and outer track) with multiple carriers of material to be braided, each carrier position may include multiple bobbins, with each bobbin carrying a spool/coil of the material. During a braiding operation performed by the machine tool, each track rotates in opposite directions. Moreover, some bobbins include an arm that guides the material in a particular manner. For example, during rotation of the track, the arm provides a swinging motion, causing the material carried by the arm to move in a periodic (e.g., sinusoidal) motion. An additional track may be used to guide the arms.

A yarn which contains a composite yarn composed of a core part containing a short fiber and a sheath part containing a synthetic fiber filament yarn, the core part and the sheath part being integrated via fluff of the short fiber getting between or entangled with the long fibers, the specific gravity of the yarn being adjustable in the range of 1.0 or more, a fishing line containing the yarn, and a method for producing the fishing line. The present invention provides an ideal fishing line which has a strong core-sheath structure, does not allow separation or detachment of the core part and the sheath part, is easy to handle, and also is excellent in strength, weatherability, and water resistance.
