    Abstract: 본 발명은 도로표지판에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 도로표지판은 다수의 관통구멍이 형성되고, 상기 도로표지판의 바탕면을 이루는 도광판; 상기 도광판의 후면에 위치하고, 상기 도광판의 다수의 관통구멍에 각각 삽입되는 다수의 LED를 포함하며, 상기 다수의 LED를 이용하여 문자, 숫자 및 기호 중 적어도 어느 하나로 구성되는 교통정보를 표시하는 LED모듈; 상기 도광판의 적어도 어느 하나의 측면에 구비되어 상기 도광판으로 광을 방출하는 사이드 백라이트; 및 상기 LED모듈에 표시되는 교통정보에 대응하여 상기 다수의 LED를 선택적으로 점멸시켜 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다. 그리하여, LED를 이용하여 교통정보를 표시함으로써 야간에도 시인성이 뛰어난 효과가 있다. 또한, 도로표지판 바탕면을 도광판으로 구현함으로써 저전력을 사용하는 도로표지판을 제공한다. 한편, 조도값 및 안개량에 따라 LED모듈과 도광판의 휘도를 제어하여 우수한 시인성을 제공한다.
