Abstract: Determination of the effectiveness of an irradiation wavelength(s) in a light-driven reaction(s) in at least one position of a probe comprises irradiating the probe with light and evaluating the condition of the probe. Independent claims are also included for two evaluation apparatus, both comprising a light source with variable wavelength and a focussing apparatus, one further including an apparatus for irradiating monochromatic light and detecting the resulting scattered light and the other an apparatus for focussing irradiated light on or in the probe along the axis and detecting the scattered light.
