Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hardenable polyurethane polymer capable of providing an unhardened and dried coating film hardenable by radiation and having a good pendulum hardness, a high hardness and scratch resistance, and further capable of providing a hardened film having a high hardness and good flexibility by including a specific hydroxy-containing prepolymer in a specified proportion in a copolymerized state. SOLUTION: This hardenable polyurethane polymer comprises (A) 40-80 wt.% one or more kinds of OH group-containing prepolymers having one or more radically or photochemically polymerizable α,β-ethylenically unsaturated double bonds (based on the whole weight), (B) 0.1-20 wt.% one or more kinds of compounds having one or more isocyanate-reactive OH groups and/or primary or secondary amino groups, and further one or more polar functional groups, (C) 0.1-10 wt.% compound selected from a diamine, a polyamine and a mixture thereof, and (D) 10-50 wt.% one or more kinds of polyisocyanates in a copolymerized state. The OH value of the components A to C is 121-300 mg- KOH/g.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a bonding agent, preferably for a lacquer, which may be hardened by high-energy radiation and/or thermally and which contains a mixture of substances (a) having a monomer or polymer component including at least one vinyl ether, vinyl ester, (meth)acrylic and/or allyl group, and (b) containing saturated and/or unsaturated polymers different from component (a) as additional component, with the proviso that at least one of components (a), (b) contains structural units of general formulae (I) and/or (II) and the additional component (b) contains structural units of general formulae (I) and/or (II) at least when said component contains saturated polymers. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the bonding agent and a preparation containing the bonding agent according to the invention. Said preparation is obtained in the form of a pigmented or non-pigmented lacquer or a powder lacquer. The invention also relates to a working method for the production of lacquer coatings, wherein after application, said coatings are hardened thermally and/or by radiation with UV light or electron beams.
Abstract:
The invention relates to polyfunctionally reactive polymer substances containing in each molecule at least two structural units of general formulae (I) and/or (II), in which n = 1-10, the principal polymer chain links in the claimed substances being C-C bonds, ether bonds, urethane bonds, amide bonds, ketone bonds or combinations of these bonds. The claimed substances are suitable for use as binders for various applications.
Abstract:
(Meth)acrylate prepolymers (B) with a water-dilutability of at least 5 wt% water are used in aqueous dispersions with essentially no protective colloids or emulsifiers, containing (A) polyurethanes with hydrophilic groups and essentially no C-C double bonds and (B) prepolymers as defined, with 0.1-1 mol radically polymerizable double bonds/100 g
Abstract:
A process for improving the adhesion of radiation curable acrylate resins, containing an amine group and a radiation curable unsaturated acrylate group, to a substrate is claimed. The acrylate resin is mixed with a curable polyepoxide compound having an epoxy value of 1-15 mol/kg, the mixture applied to the substrate and cured with energetic radiation at greater than 50 degrees C.
Abstract:
RADIATION-CURABLE PREPARATIONS COMPRISE AT LEAST ONE POLYMER WHICH HAS ETHYLENICALLY UNSATURATED DOUBLE BONDS AND ARE USED FOR THE COATING OF MINERAL MOLDINGS. A PROCESS FOR COATING MINERAL MOLDINGS, AND ALSO MINERAL MOLDINGS WHICH HAVE A COATING CURED BY RADIATION, ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
