Abstract:
A system for raising and lowering a sectional overhead door between an open position and a closed position including, a counterbalance system adapted to be connected to the door, an operator motor assembly mounted proximate to the sectional overhead door in the closed position of the sectional overhead door, at least a portion of the operator motor assembly movable between a door operating position and a door locking position, and a locking assembly (370) having an engaged position to hold the motor assembly in the operating position and a disengaged position to release the motor assembly allowing it to move to the door locking position. The system may be provided with a remote light assembly having a switchable light source in sensing communication with the operator motor such that operation of the motor activates the light source. The system is further provided with a handle assembly (515) operatively engaging the motor assembly (40) and counterbalance system (30) to selectively disconnect the motor assembly (40) from the counterbalance system (30), whereby urging of a rotatable handle (516) to a disconnect position (516') allows the door (D) to be manually freely moveable with the aid of the counterbalance system (30).

Abstract:
A door actuating and locking mechanism (100) is provided. The door actuating and locking mechanism includes an actuator (120) with a actuator shaft (122) and an actuating length (X), a door carriage (130) adapted to be coupled to a door (14) on the vehicle (10), the door carriage (130) is movably coupled to the actuator shaft (122) and slidably coupled to the actuator (120) such that the actuator shaft (122) rotates to move the door carriage (130) along the actuating length (X). The door actuating and locking mechanism (100) also includes a locking device (140) coupled to the actuator (120) and adapted to lock the door carriage (130) when the door carriage (130) is in a closed position, a motor (150) comprised of a motor body (152) rotatably coupled to the actuator (120) and a rotatable shaft (154) coupled to the actuator shaft (122), and a lever (160) coupled to the motor body (152) wherein the motor body (152) rotates the lever (160) to actuate the locking device (140).
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
An operator system for moving a barrier between limit positions, comprising an operator motor assembly (136) mounted proximate to the barrier, at least a portion of said operator motor assembly movable depending upon an operating condition thereof; a counterbalance system (114) adapted to be connected to the barrier, said counterbalance system coupled to said operator motor assembly to move the barrier; and an integral cable storage drum and transfer assembly (120) connecting said operator motor assembly (136) to said counterbalance system (114).
Abstract:
A system for moving a barrier between limit positions, includes an operator motor assembly mounted proximate to the barrier, wherein at least a portion of the motor assembly is movable between an operating position (fig. 7) and a locking position (fig. 8) with the motor assembly blocking movement of the barrier. A bias assembly (170) biases the motor assembly in the operating position (fig. 7) and allows the motor assembly to move toward the locking position (fig.8) when either a predetermined force overcomes a biasing force or when the barrier is moved to a closed limit position or when forced entry is imposed on the barrier. The biasing force may be adjusted by moving posts (190) on the motor assembly that are engaged by the bias assembly (170). A disengagement feature may also be provided that allows pivotable movement of the motor assembly even when in a locking position. And the pivoting motor assembly may be used as a secondary entrapment input to an operator controller.
