PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and efficiently close doors without applying excessive forces. SOLUTION: In this door device for a vehicle body, a drive mechanism 3 is provided which is capable of driving a door 1 attached to the vehicle body 12, to convert the door from an open condition to a closed condition. A striker S and a latch L for locking the door 1 by engaging the striker S are provided independently of each other. A closer mechanism 14 is provided which drives the latch L into a condition where it engages the striker S and guides the latch to the final lock position when the striker S enters the latchable space of the latch L as the door is driven by the drive mechanism 3 for closing. A control mechanism 5 is provided which actuates and controls the drive mechanism 3 and the closer mechanism 14 according to a door closing command. A detection means W is provided for detecting that the position of the striker S is within the latchable space of the latch L. A driving force reducing mechanism D which reduces the output of the drive mechanism 3 upon detection by the detection means W is incorporated into the control mechanism 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a movable part, in especially a cover, capable of dispensing with an expensive gear unit by obliging a cover to take an intermediate position without any current. SOLUTION: A piston divides a cylinder into two operating spaces in a piston rod, and a base part 1 is operationally connected to the movable part 3 and provided with a driving device 17 of an external energy control type operating relative to a driving force of a piston-cylinder device 7. A control device 29 monitors the motion of an operating device 15 and confirms failure, when a parameter expressing the motion of the stored parameters is deviated from a threshold limit, a movable structure is retained by an interrupting device when the current of the operating device is disconnected, the interrupting device is formed of the piston-cylinder device 7, and the operating device 15 can intercept the flowing connection 63 between the operation spaces 59 and 61 via changeover valves 55, 77, and 97.

An actuator system for a closure panel of a vehicle and method of operation are provided. The system includes a biasing member adapted to apply a biasing member force to the closure panel. The system also includes an actuator assembly comprising an actuator housing. The actuator assembly also includes a motor disposed in the actuator housing and configured to rotate a motor shaft operably coupled to an extensible member coupled to one of a body and the closure panel for opening or closing the closure panel. The system also includes an actuator controller configured to control the motor to output an adjusted force based on the biasing member force to move the closure panel.

The gate has an exchangeable span that is fixed to the load bearing beam and is connected with pulley bearings and rope-slings to the system of adjustable counterweights. The drive system is fitted with an electric drive with a worm-wheel mounted to the load bearing beam that travels vertically along the worm. The beam, span and the drive travel on adjustable guiderails inside a reinforced concrete pit in the direction opposite to that of counterweights. The load bearing beam is fitted with rollers and retaining rollers mounted to the cover. Emergency (manual) operation of the gate is possible by turning a crank handle connected with the worm, having released the lock that prevents the worm from rotating on its axis.
