본 발명은 조립된 상태에서 연소 공기를 위한 흐름 채널이 형성되는 두 개의 합성수지 개별부품을 포함하는 내연 기관용 흡기 장치에 관한 것이다. 합성수지 개별부품은 대응 용접면을 포함하는데, 이 용접면은 흐름 채널의 반경 방향 외측에 배치되며 그에서 합성수지 개별부품이 마찰용접을 통해 서로 결합된다. 제1 합성수지 개별부품에서 뿐 아니라 제2 합성수지 개별부품에도 흐름 채널에 대해 서로 다른 반경 방향의 간격을 갖는 적어도 두 개의 대응 용접면이 제공된다.
Abstract:
An intake duct for introducing outside air into an air cleaner of an internal combustion engine is provided which includes a hollow duct body with an opening, and a piece of non-woven fabric, formed in a flat shape, is joined to the duct body to close the opening. The duct body includes a circumferential wall formed of a resin, and the opening is formed along a plane extending through a portion of the circumferential wall. The piece of non-woven fabric is fixed to the duct body so that some of the resin of the duct body penetrates into the non-woven fabric.

PURPOSE: To provide an air intake duct and its manufacturing method capable of effectively reducing air intake noises, and being manufactured at a relatively low cost. CONSTITUTION: A plane part 22 is formed at the center part 12b of a duct body 12 of an air intake duct 11 for introducing external air into an air cleaner of a vehicular engine, and an opening part 13 is opened in the plane part 22. The periphery 23 of the opening part 13 is allowed to project outwardly from the plane part 22, and the tip of the periphery is made to form a flat plane. A flat non-woven fabric-molded body 14 is pressed against the periphery 23 in a preliminarily molted state, and the non-woven fabric-molded body 14 is joined and locked to the periphery. In this case, a part of thermoplastic resin of the periphery 23 permeates the inside of the non-woven fabric-molded body 14 to produce a state where fibers of the non-woven fabric-molded body 14 are entangled with the resin three-dimensionally.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an induction port with an optimal noise level, especially a suction pipe for use as an induction port of an internal combustion engine. The noise level is optimised by introducing shunt resonators (16, 18) in the collecting chamber (12) of the suction pipe. Said suction pipe is produced using a multi-shell technique. The inserted structures (16, 18) can be stuck or welded before the shells are joined. The inventive shunt resonators (16, 18) require little space and can also be used for subsequently optimising the suction pipes in the test phase, should the test results be acoustically unsatisfactory.

An engine intake manifold assembly (10) including a first portion (12) configured with a first material and a second portion (14) configured with a second material, wherein the first and second portions (12, 14) are adhesively bonded together. Preferably, the intake manifold assembly (10) is additionally configured with a cylinder head flange (24), for mounting the same to an automotive engine component, and a throttle body attachment (22) for attachment of a throttle body component. The cylinder head flange (24) and throttle body attachment (22) may be an integral component of the first or second portions (12, 14) or attached to the same during or after assembly of the first and second portions (12, 14). Optionally, an insert (18) is located between the assembled first and second portion (12, 14) to create one or more plenums thereby creating one or more air flow paths (20) through the intake manifold assembly (10).
