Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of telecommunication jacks, and more specifically, to network jacks adapted for operating with more than one type of a plug. In an embodiment, the present invention is a communication connector that includes a housing configured to receive a communication plug, a printed circuit board connected to the housing, and a rocker switch pivotally connected to the housing, the rocker switch configured for actuating the printed circuit board. In a variation of this embodiment, the communication connector could be used in a communication system having communication equipment therein.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to communication connectors and internal components thereof. In one embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising both front-rotated and back rotated plug interface contacts. In another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising a two-piece front sled. In yet another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack that retains its functionality when mated with both eight-position and six-position plugs.
Abstract:
An aisle containment apparatus having a pair of spaced apart upper rails and a pair of spaced apart lower rails positioned spaced apart from and below the pair of upper rails. A side blanking panel is secured to one of the pair of upper rails and to one of the pair of lower rails and a ceiling spans between the pair of upper rails. A fixed panel is secured to the pair of upper rails and to the pair of lower rails and a moveable panel is releasably secured to the pair of upper rails and is adjustably positioned along the pair of upper rails so as to position the moveable panel a predetermined distance from the first panel.
Abstract:
A conduit hanger assembly (20) that supports at least one conduit (110) is disclosed. The conduit hanger assembly (20) includes a first member (32) and a second member (40) extending from the first member (32). The first member (32) has a U-shaped clamp (34) that engages a building structure (100) to support the hanger assembly (20). The second member (40) has a base (42) with arms (44) extending therefrom. The U-shaped clamp (34), base (42) and arms (44) define a channel (46) to support the conduit (110) therein. The conduit hanger assembly (20) may include gangable add-on conduit hangers (60) that connect to the conduit hanger assembly (20) to support additional conduits (110) in the assembly.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to the field of network communication, and more specifically to networks for crosstalk reduction/compensation and communication connectors which employ such networks. In some embodiments, the present invention employs an orthogonal network implemented within a communication jack to compensate for crosstalk which occurs within a communication plug and at the plug/jack interface.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to the field of fiber optics, and more specifically to optical fibers, methods of manufacturing optical fibers, and methods of classifying optical fibers. In an embodiment, the present invention is a multimode optical fiber which comprises a core and clad material system where the refractive indices of the core and cladding are selected to minimize chromatic dispersion in the 850 nm wavelength window and the refractive index profile is optimized for minimum modal-chromatic dispersion in channels utilizing VCSEL transceivers. Multimode optical fibers according to this embodiment may have increased channel bandwidth.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a fiber cleaving tool that cleaves a fiber optic cable flush with the ferrule's end face. The fiber cleaving tool has a tool body with a tensioning mechanism and a cleaving mechanism. A handle extends from one end of the tool body and a lever is pivotally connected to the opposite end of the tool body. The lever has a trigger blade that activates the cleaving mechanism to cleave the fiber optic cable extending from a connector positioned in the tool body.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of facility management, and more specifically, to methods and systems for datacenter capacity monitoring and planning. Embodiments of the present invention utilize various environmental variables to help execute and plan move / add / change work orders within a datacenter while remaining within desired guard bands.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a modular containment system that redirects exhaust from cabinets without altering the cabinet. The modular containment system includes a docking station having a first and second bay. The first bay has a first side frame and a second side frame. A top support joins the front of the first and second side frames and cross bars join the back of the first and second side frames. The second bay is connected to the first bay. The second bay has a third side frame. The second bay also has cross bars and a top support that join the second and third side frames. A cabinet is positioned within one of the first and second bays.
Abstract:
An aisle containment system is provided. The aisle containment system includes a pair of wall beams suspended from a ceiling, a pair of floor tracks positioned beneath the wall beams and secured to a floor, and at least one blanking panel secured to one of the wall beams and one of the floor tracks.
