Abstract:
A method and a system for allocating resources in a communication system are provided to allocate efficiently a data burst so that wasted slots can be minimized in consideration of the size of the data burst and the number of null padded slots, thereby efficiently using the whole system resources. A method for allocating resources in a communication system comprises the following steps of: calculating the size of a transmission area to transmit generated data if the data to transmit to mobile terminals are generated(302); and controlling the data to transmit through the transmission area and allocating the controlled data to the transmission area in correspondence with the size priority of a data burst(304,314). The number of minimum sub channels and the symbol number of the controlled data necessary for transmitting the controlled data to the mobile terminals are calculated.
Abstract:
A system and a method for downloading firmware in an image forming apparatus are provided to stably download the firmware by performing automatic conversion of electric power when the electric power is broken while the firmware is downloaded. An image forming apparatus comprises a control module. The control module automatically changes a power supply line from a main power source to a sub power source to download firmware if the main power source is broken while the firmware is downloaded. The control module changes the power supply line from the sub power source to the main power source when the downloading of the firmware is completed. The control module includes a main source unit, a sub power unit, a signal processor(23) for outputting a power breaking signal if the main power source is broken, and a power controller(25) for changing the power supply line in response to the power breaking signal.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining feedback information detection in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. In the detection determining apparatus, a demodulator correlates each of tiles carrying received feedback information with an orthogonal vector including a pilot symbol in each possible codeword, each tile being a predetermined number of subcarriers, and calculates the squares of the absolute values of the correlations. A codeword correlation calculator sums the squares of the absolute value of the correlations of the tiles for each possible codeword. A detection decider determines whether to perform detection on the feedback information based on the maximum of the sums.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for generating a tracking error signal, an optical storing drive fit to the same, and a lead-in controlling method using the same are provided to stably generate the tracking error signal even if a CD having a pit depth near a quarter lambda or a narrow track pitch is played. CONSTITUTION: The first and the second tracking error signal generator(1202,1204) respectively generate the first and the second tracking error signal by receiving a light detecting signal in a DPD(Differential Phase Detection) method through the first input terminal(1210). A comparator compares the output of the second tracking error signal generator with a predetermined threshold value. A selector selects/outputs the output of the first or the second tracking error signal generator through a selection terminal(1214) depending on a selection signal inputted through the second input terminal(1212) and a comparison result.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a power control method for a mobile station which has at least one compressed mode frame. A compressed mode frame includes a data transmission duration where data is transmitted at a first frequency, and a data transmission-off duration where a second frequency is searched to perform an inter-frequency handoff to the second frequency. The transmission power during the data transmission duration is increased to compensate for the loss of transmission power during the data transmission-off duration. In the method, a base station sets a power control threshold depending on the length of the data transmission-off duration. The base station receives transmission power-increased data and compares the received power of the data signal with the power control threshold. The base station generates a power-up command when the power control threshold is higher than the receiving power, and generates a power-down command when the power control threshold is lower than the receiving power.

PURPOSE: A communication device of a CDMA communication system and a communicating method thereof are provided to reduce a bit error rate by using a generator polynomial of a channel encoder and a symbol divider. CONSTITUTION: A communication device of a CDMA communication system includes a CRC generator, a channel encoder(601), an interleaver, a channel controller, and a symbol divider(602). The CRC generator is used for generating CRC data according to received information bit data and adding the CRC data to the information bit data. The channel encoder(601) is used for performing a channel encoding process for the information bit data including the CRC data by using a 1/6 convolutional encoder. The interleaver is used for interleaving channel-encoded symbols. The channel controller is used for generating a control signal to output the channel-encoded bits. The symbol divider(602) is used for assigning the interleaved symbols to two or more carriers.

PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purification system for fabrication of a semiconductor device is provided to decide an exchange period of an absorbing agent of a scrubber by using a gas sensor for sensing a harmful gas from a purified gas. CONSTITUTION: A scrubber(220) is installed at a rear end portion of a process chamber(210). The scrubber(220) includes an absorbing agent to purify the gas exhausted from the process chamber(210). A main duct(250) is installed at an upper end portion of the scrubber(220). The purified gas is finally exhausted to the outside through the main duct(250). A sub duct(230) is installed between the scrubber(220) and the main duct(230). The sub duct(230) is used for supplying a purging gas to the purified gas. The purging gas is formed with N2. The purging gas is used for helping the exhaust of the purified gas of the scrubber(230). A gas sensor(260) is installed at the sub duct(230).
