Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform a cell search using a first set of beams. The UE may determine a channel condition value based at least in part on performing the cell search. The UE may modify the channel condition value based at least in part on at least one of: the first set of beams used to perform the cell search, a beam selected from the first set of beams, or a second set of beams that is different from the first set of beams and that is included in a beamforming codebook associated with the UE. The UE may transmit a measurement report that includes the modified channel condition value. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may make a joint decision of adaptive receive diversity (ARD) and adaptive transmit diversity (ATD) configurations, including transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) antennas selection and/or blanking based on downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) traffic conditions. The UE may disable at least one Tx chain for a transmission of a codebook-based sounding reference signal (SRS) (SRS-CB) based on one or more of at least one DL traffic condition or at least one UL traffic condition, and transmit, to a base station, upon disabling the at least one Tx chain, the SRS-CB via an antenna associated with at least one active Tx chain.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a UE, one or more configuration messages indicating synchronization signals (SS) and physical broadcast channel (PBCH) block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) parameters. The SMTC parameters indicate SMTC windows associated with reception of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) by the UE from a base station. The method further includes, based on detecting one or more trigger conditions, transitioning, by the UE, from an inactive state to an active state to receive, during a time interval distinct from the SMTC windows, one or more SSBs from the base station. The method further includes performing, by the UE, one or more beam management operations based on the one or more SSBs received during the time interval.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of scheduled synchronization signal transmission times. A first subset of the set of scheduled synchronization signal transmission times may be allocated for dynamic measurement. The wireless device may select at least one candidate beam from a set of candidate beams for a dynamic measurement during one of the transmission times in the first subset. The at least one candidate beam may be selected based at least in part on a fairness metric, a signal strength metric, a timing metric, or a combination thereof. The wireless device may perform a measure procedure on the selected at least one candidate beam and may transmit a measurement report based at least in part on the measure procedure to another wireless device (e.g., a base station).
