Abstract: PURPOSE:To pick up an electric field outputted from an antenna as a change in light, by closingly disposing a pair of antenna conductors and placing an optical conversion element to a gap between said antenna conductors. CONSTITUTION:A gap is provided between ends of a pair of antenna conductors 1, 2 and an optical conversion elemet 3 is disposed in the gap. The ends of the element 3 is brought into contact with the ends of the conductors 1, 2. A polarizer 4 is arranged on one side of the element 3 and an analyzer 5 is arranged on the other side. A laser light source 6 such as a laser diode is arranged at the side of the polarizer 4 and a photoelectric transducer 7 such as a phototransistor is arranged at the side of the analyzer 5. Through this constitution, a beam is irradiated from the laser light source 6 to the polarizer 4 to form a linearly polarized light which is irradiated to one end of the element 3. The direction of the polarized light is rotated at the element 3 and the light is made incident to the analyzer 5. The output of the analyzer 5 is irradiated to the element 7, allowing to pick up the antenna output efficiently.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure the use of an FM wave detector of a narrow band and at the same time to simplify the constitution of an AFC circuit, by supplying one of a pair divided outputs to the FM wave detector and the other output to the AFC circuit, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The TV signal of a wide band to be FM-modulated which is received through an antenna 1 is supplied to a mixer 4 along with a local oscillating signal of 10.8GHz and supplied to an image eliminating BPF8 in the form of the 1st intermediate frequency signal. The output of a BPF8 is supplied to a mixer 10 along with the output of a local oscillator 11 and in the form of the 2nd intermediate frequency signal. Then an intermediate frequency signal of 130MHz is produced through a BPF13 and then supplied to an FM wave detector 24 through the first frequency divider 15. At the same time, the output of the divider 15 is supplied to an AFC circuit 17 via the 2nd frequency divider 16. The output of the circuit 17 is added with the channel selecting signal to be supplied to the oscillator 11 in the form of an oscillating frequency controlling signal.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna device which can receive waves over a wide band efficiently, by connecting an amplifying element of high input impedance to a sectorial reception antenna element. CONSTITUTION:Sectorial antenna elements 1 and 2 are formed on a flat plate by coating a conductor layer such as copper on a plastic base 4 by printing. A signal received on the antenna elements 1 and 2 is applied to a drain terminal D of MOSFETs 11 and 12 showing high impedance characteristics via coupling capacitors 27 and 28 and a balun 22. The MOSFETs 11 and 12 are operated as a common-base amplifier, and a reception signal obtained at the source terminal S is applied to loads 13 and 14. Thus, the broad band and high gain of the sectorial antennas can be realized by connecting the high input impedance element to the sectorial antenna elements.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a modulated signal with a sufficiently large modulation degree, by finding the sum and difference of an AM-modulated signal and constant-amplitude carrier signal. CONSTITUTION:Video signal Sv supplied to terminal T3 is converted by differential amplifier 1 into the current of differential amplifier 2. Since carrier source 15 supplies a carrier to differential amplifier 2, amplitude-modulated signal Sa appears at the collector side of differential amplifier 2. To terminal T7, an FM audio signal is supplied to obtain constant-amplitude signal Sb by differential amplifier 4. Therefore, the sum of signal Sa and signal Sb is led to terminals T4 and T5. Since carrier inputs to differential amplifiers 2 and 4 are out of phase with each other, carrier components are cancelled each other, and a signal having a large modulation degree can be obtained. The symmetric constitution of the differential amplifiers is applied to the circuit, so that the modulation degree will not vary with temperature variations.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure an easy change-over in a wide band for both the direction and the directional pattern, by providing a plural number of feeding points to the main and auxiliary loops formed on several different faces and then switching these feeding points. CONSTITUTION:The main antenna structure that forms a main loop is composed of the conductors A1-D1; and the conductors E-H plus A2-D2 from a plural number of auxiliary antenna structures. These auxiliary antenna structures are connected directly or indirectly to the conductor M to form a plural number of auxiliary loops. The feeding points (a)-(d) are provided to these conductors A1-D1, and one of these feeding points is selected to be connected to the output or input terminal. Other feeding points are short-circuited, opened or connected to the impedance element Z. For instance, the feeding point (a) is selected, and the incoming electric wave is put vertically onto the plane formed by the connecting points P1, P4, P8 and P5 as shown by the arrow N. Thus the current I1 flows to the closed loop which is shown by a broken line in the figure. For the distribution of this current, the peak part of the current I1 exists at the center of the conductors A1 and C1, and the area where the current I1 becomes zero exists at the center of the conductors B2 and D2 respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the directive bearing and the directional pattern of an antenna optimum according to channel selection by giving a directivity set signal according to a selected channel or a selected channel frequency to the directivity control means of the antenna in respect to the broadcast radio wave receiving antenna unit. CONSTITUTION:The signal to set the directive bearing of a desired channel is transmitted from antenna control transmitter 15. This signal is received by photo diode 13 of antenna control receiver 38 and is supplied to data register 72 through the second discrimination circuit 67, and directivity set signals Qa to Qc of register 72 are supplied to decoder 32, and an optimum receiving is detected by antenna control circuit 36 and directivity control means 37 and is written in memory unit 70. Next, when a desired channel selection signal is transmitted from transmitter 15, this signal is received by television receiver 60 to select a channel; and simultaneously, this signal is received by antenna control receiver 38, and directivity set signals Qa-Qc are read out from memory unit 70 to control directivity of the antenna.

Further, the pulse signal transmitted from the transmitter is received, this reception signal changes the state of the ring counter, FF and logic circuit, enabling to make variable the directivity or directive performance of antenna.
