Abstract:
A buoyant sheet material and apparatus utilizing the material are disclosed for preventing evaporation of water in an indoor swimming pool when the pool is not in use. The sheet material is formed with a layer of buoyant foamed plastic material and a thinner layer of water-impervious plastic material and it is wound on a roll rotatably mounted adjacent one side of the pool. When the pool is not in use, the sheet material is drawn from the roll and placed on the surface of the water in the pool to prevent evaporation of the water and to thereby maintain a relatively low humidity in the pool enclosure.
Abstract:
In an auto telephone answering apparatus for playing back an outgoing message recorded on a magnetic tape and sending the outgoing message to a calling party and for recording an incoming message from the calling party on the magnetic tape, an auto answer mode is set for automatically connecting telephone lines to the auto telephone answering apparatus upon detection of an incoming call from the calling party, playing the outgoing message recorded on the magnetic tape, and setting an incoming call wait state for recording the incoming message from the calling party on the magnetic tape after playback of the outgoing message, an end of playback of the incoming message or messages recorded on the magnetic tape is detected in a playback mode and results in an incoming message end signal, and a control causes establishment of the auto answer setting mode in response to the incoming message end signal.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To save labor and time for operating a changeover switch in order to switching a mode between a waiting state mode and an at-home mode even after the end of a reproducing operation by detecting that the final position of a recorded part from a caller is reproduced during the reproducing operation of a message medium by a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:After a silent part continues for about 4 seconds and a delimiting tone part generating a beep tone signal for about 0.2 second are formed, a first message (ICM) (1) is recorded from a point N7 to a point N8 for 60 seconds at a maximum. Next, after the silent part continues for about one second and the delimiting tone part continues for 0.2 second from the point N8, a second ICM (2) is recorded from a point N9. Then, this system is provided with a means for automatically setting an automatic answering mode after the lapse of a prescribed time (30 seconds, for example), from the end and stop of reproduction of all ICMs. Therefore, a user can select whether or not the recorded ICM should be protected within 30 seconds. Further, when protecting the recorded ICM, the new ICM is recorded after the last ICM.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:At the transmission side, the signal near maximum picture frequency is extracted and the carrier wave is modulated at this rising point. And at the reception side, the pulse is generated at changing point of carrier wave to be or-gated with the demodulation signal. Thus, transmission efficiency as well as reception picture quality can be increased.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To set surely the automatic answering mode by providing a means detecting the end of reproduction of all messages and a means setting the automatic answering mode after a prescribed time based on the detection. CONSTITUTION:A tape format shown in figure is given, and when all incoming messages (ICMs) are reproduced and after a prescribed time is elapsed, when the titled device is stopped, the automatic answering mode is set automatically by the means above. A consecutive voice presence is detected within the recording longest time of the ICM, or an inter-block, click noise at on-hook or a busy tone is detected by a detection circuit 27 or 28 to detect the end of the ICM. A CPU10 confirms the end location of all ICMs at all times depending on the number of revolutions of a reel shaft or the presence of a cue signal during reproduction of the ICM. The CPU outputs a mechanism deck stop signal when the tape comes to the said final location and the mode is brought automatically into the automatic answering mode after a prescribed time is elapsed. Then the program search of an OGM (outgoing message) is applied and the mode goes to the incoming standby state.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit the trouble of operation of a switch changing over the automatic answering mode and the home stay mode and to prevent a fault of automatic answering recording due to the changeover switch left unoperated when reproduction of a message (ICM) is intermitted by designing the titled set that the automatic answering mode is set automatically when a prescribed time is elapsed after reproduction of message is intermitted. CONSTITUTION:Figure shows a tape format of a tape 1 on which plural mes sages are recorded. An inter-block and a cue signal recording part are formed at first for 0.5sec respectively from a point N3 after a leader tape of the tape 1. The an OGM is recorded for maximum 60sec together with, e.g., a 30Hz cue signal. After a sectioning part comprising an inter-block of nearly 4sec and a beap tone signal for nearly 0.2sec is formed, the 1st ICM is recorded for maximum 60sec from a point N7 to a point N8. In depressing a stop button during the ICM reproduction, the tape running is stopped and when the set is left undone for a prescribed time (e.g., 30sec), all ICMs are protected and the automatic answering mode is attained. When the reproduction button is depressed within 30sec, the tape is rewound and the reproduction is restarted from a position where the depression of the reproduction button is stopped.
