A strand for a structural cable includes a plurality of wires and a winding. Each wire of the plurality of wires has a corresponding non-circular cross section configured to have a corresponding surface contact area with an adjacent wire of the plurality of wires. The corresponding contact area is substantively greater than a surface contact area of a circular wire having a diameter substantively identical to a largest inscribed circle for the corresponding non-circular cross section. The winding surrounding the plurality of wires is configured to hold the wires in parallel within the strand. The strand, with the plurality of wires within, has a hexagonal shape.

Chaque toron interne et externe (Tl, TE) comprend : - une couche interne (12, 12') respectivement constituée d'un fil interne (F1, F1'), - une couche intermédiaire (14, 14') respectivement constituée de M, M' fils intermédiaires (F2, F2'), et - une couche externe (16, 16') respectivement constituée de N, N' fils externes (F3, F3'). Le diamètre Dl du toron interne (Tl) est supérieur au diamètre DE de chaque toron externe (TE). Chaque fil externe (F3) présente un diamètre d3 supérieur au diamètre d3' de chaque fil externe (F3). La couche externe (16') de chaque toron externe (TE) est insaturée.

A hybrid rope constructed of a plurality of strands, wherein each strand is constructed of a fiber center, a jacket surrounding the fiber center, and a plurality of wires surrounding the jacket. The fiber center can be constructed of one or more high-strength synthetic fibers or yarns. The jacket can be constructed of polypropylene, thermoplastic polyurethane, high- density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene, nylon or other similar materials. The jacket can have a braided or woven design and adds a protective layer between the fiber center and the wires. The wires can be constructed of high-strength steel wires, galvanized steel or stainless steel. The fibers or yarns that make of the fiber center are twisted to lay right and then covered with the jacket. The wires then surround the jacket and are twisted to lay to the left. This creates a torque-balanced condition of the hybrid rope.

A bundle of logs (62) is unitized by means of one or more log bundling strands (10, 20, 42, 64, 70) and one or more sleeves (43, 66, 80). Each of the bundling strands has a leading end and a trailing end. Each of the bundling strands (10, 20, 42, 64, 70) is wound around the logs to form the bundle so that the leading end (44) and the trailing end (46) run adjacent to one another over an overlapping length L1 and form a pair. One or more sleeves (43, 66, 80) have a length L2 which is smaller than the overlapping length L1. Each of the one or more sleeves (43, 66, 80) are crimped on one pair of the leading ends (44) and the trailing ends (46) within the overlapping length L1. At least some of the bundling strands (10, 20, 42, 64, 70) are provided with indents (26, 36, 47) or protrusions (76) at the outer surface and/or at least some of the sleeves (80) are provided with non-cylindrical inner surfaces. The indents (26, 36, 47), protrusions (76) and/or non-cylindrical inner surfaces improve gripping between the strands (10, 20, 42, 64, 70) and the sleeves (43, 66, 80) and / or reduce the length L2 of the sleeves (43, 66, 80).

Z형 단면의 래핑 와이어를 사용하는 경우의 문제를 모두 해소할 수 있고, 래핑 와이어 자체의 제조의 용이화, 저비용화, 래핑 머신의 구조 간소화, 소형화, 저비용화가 가능해진다.

PURPOSE: A PC(Prestressed concrete) steel wire using a deformed rod is provided to prevent a slip by forming a 3-way indent on the surface of a rod composing a PC steel wire and to improve adhesive power with concrete according to an increase in surface area. CONSTITUTION: In a PC steel wire using a deformed rod, a deformed rod(1) comprises a trio indent line(IL) formed at an angle of 120 degrees on the outside longitudinally, and a unit indent of each indent line(IL), as an oval, is formed to be inclined toward the direction of the length(P). If the diameter(D) of the deformed rod(1) is 5.0¯5.5 millimeters, the depth(t) of the unit indent is 0.02¯0.05 millimeters, the width(n) is approx. 5¯6 millimeters and an interval(p) between unit indents is 2¯3 millimeters.
