Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a high purity, high quality amide compound, particularly, lactam. A first embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that an amount of each of a halide, an aldehyde compound, an alcohol compound and a nitrile compound contained in a solution recycled into an oxime-forming step is controlled to an amount of 0.4 mol % or less based on the ketone as a starting material. A second embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a ketone, an oxime and an amide compound are purified by hydrogenation and/or crystallization for eliminating impurities containing a double bond. A third embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that a content of impurities having a cyclic bridge structure is controlled by using a cycloalkanone purified by recrystallization.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nitrogen-containing organic compound by which the nitrogen-containing organic compound such as a lactam compound is directly synthesized from a cyclic ketone by using a flow-type reactor using high-temperature and high-pressure water as a reaction medium; and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method for producing the nitrogen-containing organic compound involves directly synthesizing the nitrogen-containing organic compound such as the lactam from the cyclic ketone by the reaction with hydroxyammonium, a salt thereof or ammonium and an oxidizing agent by the flow-type reactor using the high-temperature and high-pressure water (≥200°C temperature and ≥20 MPa pressure) as the reaction medium. The apparatus therefor is also provided. As a result, ε-caprolactam of a raw material of nylon 6 can be directly produced from cyclohexanone by one step. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lactam from a cyclic ketone with high selectivity. SOLUTION: This method for producing the lactam by reacting the cyclic ketone with a nitrogen source and oxygen in the presence of an oxide catalyst is characterized as the reaction is carried out under the condition with a composition ratio regulated so as to be 0.01-10 mol nitrogen source and 0.1-5 mol oxygen based on 1 mol cyclic ketone.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain ε-caprolactam in high yield by Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanoxime using [B] β-zeolite in a vapor phase within a specific temperature range. SOLUTION: This ε-caprolactam is obtained by Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanoxime using [B]β-zeolite as zeolite catalyst in a vapor phase at 250-450 deg.C. The [B] β-zeolite is prepared by agitating an aqueous mixture of H3 BO3 , an alkali metal hydroxide, silicon component, and advantageously microgranular, optionally precipitated silicic acid together with an amine solution, esp. tetraethylammonium hydroxide and/or bromide, under a spontaneously generated pressure, the product is then washed and dried to afford a crystal form which is then dried at
