Abstract: PURPOSE: A transmission method of the neighboring base station system information is provided to obtain system information of a neighboring station filled with corresponding segment based on system information of a corresponding reference base station. Abstract: PURPOSE: A data transmission method of a multicast broadcast service in a mobile wireless connection system is provided to supply a MBS service through information related to MBS irrelevant to a connection state, an idle state of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives MBS(Multicast Broadcast Service) data in a mobile wireless connection system. A MBS related information of one neighboring base station is received from a serving base station(S210). Handover is performed by a target baste station selected among the neighboring base station from a serving base station(S220). Whether the MBS related information of the serving base station and the MBS related information of the target base station are the same or not is determined(S230). MBS data is received by using MBS related information of the updated terminal. MBS related information of a received neighboring base station includes one between information necessary for an update and all MBS related information of the target base station.

Abstract: A method for providing a sleep mode and a mobile station thereof are provided to efficiently manage a sleep mode operation in a broadband wireless access system serving downlink traffic. A mobile terminal which is connected to abase station(200) of a mobile communication network through a wireless link to transmit/receive data, and provides a sleep mode comprise the followings: a power supply unit(120) providing power to the mobile terminal; a sleep mode managing unit(130) for managing the sleep mode, the sleep interval within the sleep mode and the listening interval; and a controller(110) controlling the power supply unit based on the first initial-sleep interval of the sleep mode managing unit. Abstract: A position detecting method is provided to detect the position of a mobile station by changing the ranging manner used at the existing system, thereby enhancing the efficiency. When the position measurement of a mobile station is needed, the first base station requests the dedicated ranging region for the corresponding mobile station to the adjacent second base station(S10). Thereafter, the second base station allocates and transmits the parameter for the dedicated ranging to the first base station(S12). Abstract: A method for managing a sleep interval in a mobile wideband wireless access system is provided to enhance power saving effect by preventing a terminal from unnecessarily awaking from the sleep mode and to reduce delay time of data to be transmitted to the terminal when there occurs a downlink data traffic having a burst feature while the terminal is being in the sleep mode. A method for managing a sleep interval in a mobile wideband wireless access system comprises the following several steps. A base station sets zero to a message which is for notifying existence of a data traffic in case that there is no data which waits for being transmitted during the start sleep interval, and transmits the message to a subscriber terminal(S24). The subscriber terminal enters into the sleep mode(S25). The base station buffers downlink data if there exists the downlink data which waits for being transmitted to the subscriber terminal during the second sleep interval(S26). The base station notifies the subscriber terminal of existence of the buffered data when the subscriber terminal is being operated in a listening mode(S27,S28). The subscriber terminal receives the donwlink data in the listening mode, reduces the sleep interval and enters into the sleep mode(S29). The subscriber terminal maintains the sleep mode for the reduced sleep interval, and switches to the listening mode again(S30). If there is no downlink data to be transmitted to the subscriber terminal, the base station sets zero to the message which is for notifying existence of a data traffic and transmits the message to the subscriber terminal(S31). The subscriber terminal enters into the sleep mode during the sleep interval again(S32).
