Abstract:
Systems and methods for interactive treatments of female sexual disorders are presented. A programmable sexual stimulation device is provided, which transmits and receives data relating to the use and function of the device. The sexual stimulation device may be programmed to implement a particular combination of mechanical actions which have been customized by a user or a health care professional involved in the treatment or preference of the user. The device may also collect data on the type of mechanical actions input by the user and transmit the data to a remote location for viewing by the user or the healthcare professional. The device may also communicate with external devices which aid in the treatment programs, such as audio or image display devices which can coordinate the function of the sexual stimulation device with the presentation of audio or visual information to provide additional sources of sexual arousal to the user.
Abstract:
A method of making a handheld, electromechanical device useful in body-care includes the steps of: forming a one-piece housing having a single opening defined by a rim; selecting a unitary insert; inserting the insert through the opening; selecting a cover; removably applying the cover to close the opening; and attaching the insert to at least one of the housing and cover. The rim of the housing circumscribes a rim area and the housing has a projected area that is substantially larger than the rim area. The insert is selected from a plurality of different inserts. The cover is arranged and configured to cooperate with the selected insert, and each of the plurality of different covers is arranged and configured to cooperate with one or more of the plurality of different inserts. Methods of customizing these devices and kits for consumer use are also described.
Abstract:
A system for giving hydrotherapeutic bodycare treatments comprising an elongated shallow waterproof tabletop platform (2) installable over a table-like support surface (12). The platform (2) has an underside (10) forming a base (74) steadily mountable onto the support surface (12), an upper side (76) forming a raised bed-like surface (18) having opposite head and foot sides (78, 80), a water barrier wall arrangement (70, 72, 88, 90) upwardly projecting around the bed-like surface (18) for barring passage to water poured down over the bed-like surface (18), and a water drainage channel arrangement (4, 6, 8, 20) communicating with the bed-like surface (18) for channelling the water poured down over the bed-like surface (18) out of the platform (2). The water drainage channel arrangement (4, 6, 8, 20) comprises a drainage channel (8) having a bottom surface (86) extending below a level of the bed-like surface (18). The bottom surface (86) of the drainage channel (8) has a water discharge outlet (14).
Abstract:
A device for compressive treatment of a body part comprises a compression member (20), adapted to at least partly encircle the body part, and an actuation unit (10), arranged to tighten the compression member to provide a compressive force to the body part . The actuation unit comprises an active material actuator. There is also disclosed a system comprising such a device and methods for its therapeutic, cosmetic and non-therapeutic use and operation.
Abstract:
An articulated jet structure (10) which is mountable on the wall of a tub or spa, and which can be moved into a variety of positions to deliver a pulsed air/water stream to a desired location. More specifically, the hydrotherapy jet which extends from the wall of the hydrotherapy spa can be directed to any number of desired positions and will maintain the desired position while the pulsed air/water stream is delivered to the spa occupant. The hydrotherapy jet comprises a housing (12) and an articulated or flexible section (14). The mixing of water and air occurs in the housing forming an air/water stream which is delivered to the articulated section of the jet. The articulated section of the jet preferably comprises a plurality of articulating elements (28) interconnected to provide a wide range of motion and which hold their position when released. These elements form a water tight conduit (22) and deliver the air/water stream from the housing to a discharge nozzle (24) on the end of the articulated section.

Abstract:
Foot care devices include a battery-powered vibration motor disposed inside a water-tight housing, a foot treatment element attached to the upper surface of the housing, and surface immobilizing suction cups attached to the bottom of the housing to inhibit positional movement of the device during use. Foot treatment elements have exfoliating pumice, massaging protuberances, and/or cleaning bristles and vibrate during operation of the motor. Cushioning pads between the upper surface of the housing and the attached foot treatment element reduce rattling noises during operation of the motor. Foot treatment elements also have drain holes extending therethrough and the housing has a drain channel for draining water off the upper surface. The devices can also have one or more stabilizing platform extending therefrom. Foot pressure applied to the platform during operation further reduces positional movement. Foot care kits can have a plurality of interchangeable foot treatment elements.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a system and/or method may include an inner wearable harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The system may include a plurality of engines which when activated apply an oscillation force. The system may include a positioning system which allows positioning at least one of the plurality of engines such that the oscillation force is applied to at least one treatment area of the subject. The oscillation force may mobilize, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject substantially adjacent the treatment area. The system may include an outer harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The outer wearable harness, when activated, adjusts the oscillation force applied by at least some of the activated plurality of engines to the treatment area.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a portable exercise storage apparatus, comprising: a rigid hollow tube comprising a first end and a second end; a first end cap that is configured to removably close the first end; and at least one strap releasably connected to the first end and the second end.
Abstract:
A dual-penetration anal sex toy for couples is disclosed. For heterosexual couples, this toy is designed to enhance vaginal penetration with an anal-to-anal connection. A cock ring or means for attachment may fix the device against the wearer's perineum and act as a pivot- point to transfer the thrusting motion of the wearer directly to a prostate massaging butt plug. Because of the pivot point and possible simultaneous anal penetration both partners can feel a direct connection with the anal movements of the other.
