Abstract:
A method and a device for coating a hollow cylindrical member. The method includes radially coating an entire inner surface of the hollow cylindrical member with a first coating material discharged by a first slit nozzle and simultaneously circularly coating an entire outer surface of the hollow cylindrical member with a second coating material discharged in an axial direction of the hollow cylindrical member by a second slit nozzle located opposite the first slit nozzle with the hollow cylindrical member therebetween. The first slit nozzle and the second slit nozzle discharge the first coating material and the second coating material, respectively, to a same height of the hollow cylindrical member relative to the inner surface and the outer surface thereof.
Abstract:
A dispenser (1) for filling a to-be-filled part (3) with a hardenable, viscous, pasty compound (6), includes a multi-part housing (21) having telescopingly arranged within each other, telescoping housing parts (22, 23) and a dispensing opening (9), a supply chamber (16) for storing the hardenable, viscous, pasty compound (6), a variable pump chamber (17) for delivering the compound through the dispensing opening (8) and adjoining the supply chamber (16), a cover (18) for covering the pump chamber (17) and displaceable relative to the pump chamber (17) between a first position, in which the pump chamber (17) has an initial volume, and a second position in which the pump chamber (17) has a reduced volume; and a reset spring (32) arranged outside of the pump chamber (17) for biasing the pump chamber cover (18) to the first position.
Abstract:
In order to increase the efficiency of a coating process wherein a coating medium such as, for example, powders directed from a coating medium pressure line toward a workpiece to be coated, with the coating process also including an applied electrostatic field, a coating medium which does not adhere to the workpiece is drawn off by way of a suction channel. A flow of the emerging coating medium is bent toward the workpiece that is to be coated by providing a carrier surface profile area between an outlet of the coating medium and a suction channel. By this arrangement a flow velocity gradient between the workpiece to be coated and the profile area is realized with the resulting pressure gradient from the profiled area toward the workpiece.
Abstract:
An apparatus for coating the internal surfaces of pipes comprises two pigs which engage against the internal pipe surfaces and are movable through the pipe, and which define an intermediate zone therebetween for receiving the coating material. A spraying device capable of spraying material in the radial direction is connected to the intermediate zone via a material feed line. Upon being drawn through the pipe, the coating material is fed to the spraying device which atomizes the material and conveys it to the internal surfaces of the pipe.
Abstract:
Apparatus for applying a lining material to a conduit comprises an elongate flexible pipe for lining material. A dispensing nozzle is provided at one end of the pipe and the other end of the pipe is squeezed between a pair of driven rollers to expel the lining material through the dispensing nozzle as the pipe is drawn through the conduit. A pair of circular steel wire brushes are mounted on the pipe below the dispensing nozzle center the pipe in the conduit and also clean the side wall of the conduit ahead of the nozzle. The cross-sectional area of the pipe is calculated so that as the pipe is pulled back down the conduit it deposits an evenly distributed, predetermined amount of lining material on the side wall of the conduit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a machine for the continuous treatment of a body of revolution. Treatment stations are provided on the periphery of a rotatable drum. The machine comprises at the location of the zone of treatment a continuous guiding belt driven by a prime mover. On one side or the other of such belt, or on both sides thereof, there are disposed elements constituting a fixed guiding guard. The drum drives the bodies of revolution which are to be treated, in rotation by friction as they pass along the guard and the belt, the treating operation being effected when the treatment stations and the bodies pass through the zone of treatment. The bodies can themselves turn, if the drum is stopped, by friction between them and the movable belt, in order to avoid defects in varnishing or other similar treatments in case of breakdown of the driving of the drum. The apparatus is particularly useful in the continuous varnishing of bodies of revolution.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying sealant to a selected area of a container. The apparatus includes means for conveying a container into and away from a sealant applying station. Sealant dispensing means is positioned adjacent the conveying means at the sealing station and is operable for dispensing sealant onto a selected area of the container. Means is provided adjacent the sealant dispensing means for selectively removing any excess sealant from a nozzle portion of the sealant dispensing means.
Abstract:
Apparatus for grooving and painting the edges of ceiling tiles is disclosed. The tiles are conveyed past a first station where routers are mounted to form the grooves. The grooved tiles are then conveyed past a second station where a stream of paint is applied to each groove. Finally, the tiles move past a third station where a wheel-like paint roller smooths out the paint in each groove.
