PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a group supervisory control method and a system for elevators, capable of efficiently controlling the operation of the elevators in various traffic statuses and various specification conditions required for the group-control system. SOLUTION: In the group supervisory control method for elevators by operating a plurality of elevators relative to a plurality of floors, computing an evaluation index to a newly generated landing call and selecting the optimum car and assigning based on the evaluation index, as the evaluation index, an expectation value of the waiting time of all the passengers (a total or an average expectation value of the waiting time) for every direction in each floor, which is already generated or estimated to be generated in a predetermined time, is used. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently control special call operation of double deck elevators. SOLUTION: This group management control device 10 comprises a general call input means 3 for inputting general calls via floor hall call buttons 1a-1n, a general call assignment control means 4 for assigning the input general calls to a plurality of upper and lower elevator cars, and evaluating and computing them to make the car having best evaluation values respond to the hall calls, a special call input means 5 for inputting a special call via a special call button 2 which allows the use only for a specific user, a special call response control means 6 for controlling the assignment of the special call to a machine having any upper or lower empty car most quickly responsive to the special call, when input, or to a predetermined specific machine, and a general call assignment changing means 7 for changing the general call already assigned to the upper or lower car of the specific machine to which the special call is assigned, to be assigned to the other machine to restrict new assignment to the specific car to which the special call is assigned. Abstract:
Provided are a group control method and a group control device capable of efficiently controlling the operation of elevators in diversified traffic situations and under a variety of specification conditions required for a group management system. A plurality of elevators are placed in service for a plurality of floors, an evaluation index for a newly made hall call is calculated, and the best suited car is selected and assigned to the hall call based on the evaluation index in the group control method of elevators. A waiting time expectation value of all passengers on all floors for each direction, either that have already occurred or that are expected to occur within a predetermined time period, is taken as the evaluation index, the waiting time expectation value being the expectation value for the sum or the average of waiting time.

The invention relates to a control system for an elevator system comprising a plurality of elevator cars (11 - 15) and an elevator control for assigning elevator cars to destination calls, wherein the elevator control is adapted, in a first mode of operation, to determine and assign an elevator car (11 - 15), which the passenger shall use, based on at least one elevator car determination criterion, information indicating the elevator car thus assigned not being communicated to the passenger car until or until shortly before the assigned elevator car (11- 15) arrives at the entrance landing.
