    Abstract: A driving mechanism is disposed in the bottom of a door for driving the door and includes a reduction gearing and a motor fixed to the door, and a gear coupled to the reduction gearing and engaged with two shafts for rotatably supporting the wheels of the door so as to apply a downward force to the pinions in order to prevent the wheels moving upward away from the tracks. A retaining device is fixed to one of the tracks or fixed to the ground and has an opening for engaging with one of the pinions so as to maintain the door in place.

    Abstract: A door which is to be swung open and closed to provide access to an enclosure and slid back into the enclosure is provided with one or more hinges rotatably mounted on a shaft to the ends of which there are fixedly mounted gears which positively engage respective racks disposed adjacent the top and bottom of the enclosure and extending along the depth of the enclosure so that as each door is slid in and out of the enclosure there is no rotation of the door in its plane and, hence, no sagging and binding of the door. A portion of each hinge is confined within a guide block which is in turn rotatably connected with the shaft and slidably mounted in a channel adjacent and parallel to the rack so that only the member of the hinge attached to the door is swingable with the pivot of the hinge being rectilinearly slidable with the door along the depth of the enclosure.

    Abstract: A transmission assembly for converting a garage door operator (GDO) from a ceiling mounted configuration to a jackshaft configuration may include an output coupler for operably coupling a drive tube rotatable to alternately open and close a sectional door, a pinion assembly operably coupled to the output coupler via a flexible coupling member, a releasable coupling assembly, a handle, and a cam operated engagement assembly. The releasable coupling assembly may be operably coupled to a motor output shaft of a GDO motor. The releasable coupling assembly may have an engaged state in which rotation of the motor output shaft is transferred to the pinion assembly and a disengaged state in which the rotation of the motor is not transferred to the pinion assembly. The cam operated engagement assembly may be operably coupled to the handle and the releasable coupling assembly to transition the releasable coupling assembly between the engages state and the disengaged state based on a position of the handle.

    Abstract: A closure arrangement for closing a fuel inlet compartment of a motor vehicle body, including a guide device fixed to the vehicle, a cover element displaceably guided on the guide device between a closed position in which the fuel inlet compartment is closed and an open position in which the fuel inlet compartment is open. The guided displacement of the cover element between the closed and open positions includes reciprocating movement and longitudinal movements. The closure arrangement has a drive device operatively connected to the cover element and drives same between the closed and open positions. The drive device has a drive rod element acting axially indirectly on the cover element so as to transmit pulling and pushing forces. The cover element is displaceable between the closed and the open positions by an axial drive movement of the drive rod element with reciprocating and longitudinal movement.

    Abstract: A door opener capable of controlling the door closing speed includes a driving device and a generator mode operating module electrically connected to the driving device. The driving device includes a motor which can be supplied with power to pivot a door from an open position to a closed position. The driving device detects the position of the door by a switch. When pivotal movement of the door is achieved without supplying power to the door, the pivotal movement sets the generator mode operating module to a generator mode or a non-generator mode. In the generator mode, the motor is impeded by the electromagnetic resistance, such that the pivoting speed of the door is reduced. In the non-generator mode, the motor is not impeded by the electromagnetic resistance, such that the pivoting speed of the door is increased.
