    Abstract: The invention relates to a metal cast component (1), which is intended in particular for parts of internal combustion engines or piston compressors, such as pistons, gearboxes, crankcases and other housings and/or cylinder heads, wherein the cast component (1) consists at least in certain portions of an iron aluminide and/or is a composite cast component comprising at least two portions (2, 3), which consist of a cast iron and/or an iron aluminide and/or a light metal.
