Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to uplink (UL) gap triggering. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a processor of user equipment is configured to perform following operations. The operations comprise transmitting to a network a user preference via a first signaling, wherein the user preference indicates a preference of the UE in uplink (UL) gap configuration; transmitting to the network an UL gap activation request via a second signaling, wherein the UL gap activation request indicates the network that an UL gap activation for the UE is needed; and transmitting to the network device an UL gap deactivation request via a third signaling, wherein the UL gap deactivation request indicates the network that an UL gap deactivation for the UE is needed..

    CONDITIONAL HANDOVERS FOR NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORKS

Abstract: A UE may perform a location-based conditional handover (CHO) based on a region information and size parameter associated with a serving cell of a non-terrestrial network (NTN). In time-based CHO, the UE may perform CHO in response to expiration of a network-configured wait time. Alternatively, the UE may perform CHO by randomly selecting a wait time from a network configured time range. The selection may be randomized using a network provided seed or using a cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) value. In elevation-based CHO, the UE may perform CHO in response to the elevation angle of a satellite being less than a network configured threshold. When the UE is configured with multiple cells of the NTN, and the CHO criteria for two or more of the cells are satisfied, the UE may select a target cell for CHO based on network indicated prioritization of the cells.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for physical downlink control channel handling when a secondary cell group is activated in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish a wireless link with a master cell group. A secondary cell group may be configured. The wireless device may receive an indication to activate the secondary cell group without performing a random access channel procedure on the secondary cell group. The wireless device may determine quasi-co-located information for a physical downlink control channel of the secondary cell group. The wireless device may perform physical downlink control channel decoding for the physical downlink control channel of the secondary cell group using the determined quasi-co-located information.

Abstract: Systems and methods for small data transmissions (SDTs) between a user equipment (UE) and a network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the UE determines whether to perform an SDT procedure by comparing its own mobility state to an SDT mobility state condition provided by the network. The UE may also determine whether to perform the SDT procedure by comparing the size of user plane (UP) data to be sent with the SDT procedure to an SDT mobility-based data amount threshold provided by the network. Upon entering an RRC_INACTIVE state, the UE may start a validity timer relative to any such SDT mobility state condition and/or SDT mobility-based data amount threshold, and invalidate these once the validity timer expires. In some disclosed embodiments, the UE reports its determined mobility state to the network during an SDT procedure so that the network can accordingly select configuration parameters for SDT procedures.
