In various aspects a second message comprising the channel state information is received from the one or more wireless communication devices. In one aspect, the first message is a physical layer convergence protocol data unit (PPDU), and the first field type is a long training field (LTF).
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a methods and apparatus for wireless communication. In one aspect, a method for communication over a wireless medium includes transmitting, from a first wireless device, a first communication reserving access to the wireless medium during a first time period. The method further includes transmitting a second communication selectively allowing one or more wireless devices to access the wireless medium, regardless of a reservation specified by the first communication, during a second time period. The method further includes transmitting, after the second time period, a third communication reserving access to the wireless medium during a third time period.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In an aspect, an apparatus may be configured to transmit a first message that includes a first trigger field to a second wireless device. The first trigger field may indicate whether the first message includes a request for a trigger message to be sent by the second wireless device at a start of a TWT service period. The apparatus may be configured to receive a second message from the second wireless device. The second message may include a second trigger field based on the first message, and the second trigger field may indicate whether the second wireless device will transmit the trigger message at the start of the TWT service period.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to immediate response resource allocation with physical (PHY) layer and medium access control (MAC) layer signaling. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes a first interface configured to obtain a first frame having a PHY header and a MAC payload and a processing system configured to determine, based on an indication provided in the PHY header of the first frame, that a response frame to the first frame is to be sent within a time period. This may enable the apparatus to start generating and transmitting an immediate response before decoding the MAC payload.
Abstract:
A method of enabling data to be relayed between an access point (AP) and a target station (STA). The AP identifies the target STA based at least in part on a medium usage efficiency of the target STA. The AP further sends a relay selection trigger to the target STA to cause the target STA to broadcast a relay selection request to a set of candidate STAs. The relay selection request includes a set of metrics pertaining to a direct link between the AP and the target STA. The AP then receives one or more relay selection responses from one or more candidate STAs in the set of candidate STAs based at least in part on the set of metrics and selects a relay STA from the set of candidate STAs based at least in part on the one or more relay selection responses.
Abstract:
Null data packet (NDP) frames for wireless communications are described herein. In one example, a method for wireless communication includes generating an NDP frame comprising a physical layer preamble having a legacy preamble portion and a nonlegacy portion. The method may also include transmitting the NDP frame.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for communicating control information in a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) service data unit (PSDU) on one or more tones of the PSDU that are not used for transmitting data (or pilot signals). One example method for wireless communications generally includes generating a packet comprising a PSDU having control information conveyed in one or more tones of the PSDU that are not used for transmitting data, processing the packet to generate a signal, and transmitting the signal.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for improve network performance, such as throughput and PER, by allowing nodes to adjust energy detection (ED) threshold levels. For example, a method for Wi-Fi wireless communication includes determining, by a first node, an ED threshold level for a second node of a wireless network based at least in part on a metric for the first node. The method may also include signaling, from the first node to the second node, an ED level set element that indicates the determined ED threshold level. In another example, a method includes signaling, by a first node, an ED level adjustment capability of the first node to one or more nodes in a wireless network.
Abstract:
A user terminal for multiple-user wireless communication is provided, comprising a transmit buffer configured to store uplink data for transmission. The user terminal comprises a processor configured to generate a request to transmit frame in response to uplink data being present in the transmit buffer, and initiate a transmit timer for determining when to transmit the request to transmit frame. The user terminal comprises a transmitter configured to transmit the request to transmit frame when the transmit timer expires or when the uplink data present in the transmit buffer exceeds a threshold amount. The user terminal comprises a receiver configured to receive a clear to transmit frame from an access point based on the transmitted request to transmit frame. The transmitter is further configured to transmit the uplink data present in the transmit buffer, concurrently with at least one other user terminal transmitting uplink data, to the access point at a specified time based on receiving the clear to transmit frame addressed to the user terminal.
