    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording and reproducing of data with various optical disks, if necessary, to improve usability by disposing magnetic field generating means on the side irradiated with a laser beam to apply a modulated magnetic field in accordance with types of the optical disks. SOLUTION: A concave portion of an identification region formed on a cartridge of an optical disk 12 is detected by a disk discriminator 50 to determine a type of information recording surfaces. When the optical disk 12 is a magneto-optical disk, operations of a modulation coil driving circuit 56 and a laser driving circuit 57 turn on to thermomagnetically record user data on the optical disk. When the optical disk 12 is of a phase-change type or of an overwrite type, the operation of the laser driving circuit 57 turns on to record data in the form of a bit train. In this case, a laser beam is allowed to irradiate optical disks stored in a memory 54 with a standard amount of laser light in accordance with their respective types, and an appropriate light amount is set based on the result obtained thereby. In addition, a modulated magnetic field is applied in accordance with a thickness of a light transmitting layer of the optical disk.

Address pits AP having the phase depth of λ/(4n) are formed in the regions held by these pregrooves PG and at the ends of respective sectors.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a regenerative signal and a wobbling signal from an optical disk. SOLUTION: A wobbled groove 2 is formed on the disk beforehand. The width w of the groove 2 is made 1/2 or above of a track pitch g, and further, is made smaller than size of a reproducing beam spot. Both side edges of the groove 2 are changed at the same phase. The information is recorded on the recording film 3 of the bottom surface of the groove 2. The information is reproduced from a sum signal of a detector divided in the radial direction of the disk, and a tracking error, clock information and positional information are formed from the difference signal of the detector.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium from which a playback signal and a wobbling signal can stably be reproduced. SOLUTION: A wobbling groove 2 is previously formed on a disk. The width (w) of this groove is >=1/2 as large as a track pitch q and smaller than the diameter of a reproduction beam spot. Information is recorded on a recording film 3 on the bottom surface of the groove 2. Further, the groove is so made wobbling that both the edges of the groove 2 are in phase with each other. The information is reproduced from the sum signal of a detector which is divided along a disk diameter and a tracking error is generated from the difference signal of this detector. Further, wobbling information on the groove 2 includes absolute time information, which is taken out of the difference signal.

This way, the base layer 8 is made wider than the spacer body 9 to prevent the collapse, and also the height of the spacer can be adjusted into specified height by the number of applications in layers, according to the distance between the panels 14 and 16, and the dimension of the interval can be maintained accurately.

By this constitution, the friction force between the ink ribbon 3 and image receiving paper 4 is stabilized almost constant. As a result, shift becomes hard to generate between the ink ribbon 3 and the image receiving paper 4 and printing quality is stabilized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a high precision plotting regardless of the kinds of laser beams and impressed signals by providing an electro-optical modulator which intensitymodulates a laser beam based on an impressed signal electrical field and an acoustooptical modulatior which intensity-modulates the output of the electrooptical modulator. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam L emitted from a laser light source 1 is intensitymodulated by an electro-optical modulator(EOM) 2 based on a direct current voltage V supplied to the EOM 2. At that time, the EOM 2 is feedback- controlled so as to make the optical output of the laser beam L constant by a feedback system 14 and thus, the output of the laser beam L, which passes the EOM 2, is stabilized. The laser beam L passed the EOM 2 is intensity- modulated by an acoustooptical modulator(AOM) 3 based on ultrasonic waves W supplied to the AOM 3. Thus, this optical recording device plots recording patterns on a photoresist film 8 with a high precision regardless of the kinds of the laser light source 1 and the kinds of impressed signals.
