Disclosed is a blanket (1) of the conventional type, particularly for beds, comprising at least one flexible layer (2) which is made of a light insulating material. The inventive blanket is configured such that said layer (2) thereof keeps the occupant warm in bed. The aim of the invention is to improve humidity regulation and evacuate excess heat and the moisture given off by the body. Said aim is achieved by providing said layer (2) with ventilating openings (3).

The present invention provides: a cooling pillow which is easy to prepare, whose cooling capability lasts for a long time, which does not require a time-consuming operation such as changing the water, and which is effective in a hard-to-sleep summer night or when one has a fever from a cold; a cooling garment which has a reduced power consumption, allows one to avoid heat with a simple structure, and allows one to be comfortable even in a high temperature environment; and a cooling helmet capable of eliminating the discomfort caused by heat, preventing exhaustion of stamina, lowering of concentration, and lowering of work efficiency, and increasing the safety during work, etc. The above-described cooling pillow, the cooling garment and the cooling helmet are all based on a principle that by allowing air to flow in close contact with a fibrous material which is in the vicinity of the body and contains a sufficient amount of water to promote vaporization of water so that the head, the trunk, etc., can be cooled by absorption of the vaporization heat thereupon. Accordingly, they comprise a fan for supplying air, a passageway for passing the air therethrough, a vaporization sheet defining the passageway and containing water, etc.

This invention concerns a pillow for sound sleep which has a containing bag packed with one metallic web formed of helical metallic threads or a plurality of such metallic webs prepared in a superposed state. The pillow for sound sleep is completed by spreading a plastic cushioning material on the bottom part of the containing bag, piling the metallic webs thereon, mounting a cooling medium further thereon, disposing a metallic web having magnets attached thereto in such a manner that the side thereof carrying the magnets may fall on the outer side, adjusting the metallic webs in position so as to conform to the prospective shape of the pillow, and closing fasteners of the container bag.

The invention is a cooling pillow container insert (10) which provides a continuous cool pillow surface and absorbs a pillow user's lost metabolic heat. Preventing thermal discomfort which causes pillow flipping and tossing and turning is the primary goal of the invention. The container (10) slides between a conventional pillow (12) and pillow case (11). The container (10) is composed of a soft vinyl bag (13) which snugly surrounds a fluid saturated porous foam core (15). A resealable valve (29) allows fluid to be added or removed at will and the container's temperature to be adjusted. The container (10) promotes heat transfer from the pillow user (60) to the container (10). The heat is then dispersed uniformly throughout the container's fluid ensuring a uniformly cool pillow surface. Heat is also continuously lost to the surrounding environment. A pillow user's sleep is enhanced in warm temperatures without using an energy source. The container insert (10) can also be used with or without a pillow, as a cooling bed for an animal or a pet (71).
