Abstract:
A sliding door or window (1) comprises: a fixed frame (2); a sash (3) which slides horizontally and which has a perimeter groove (C); a pair of carriages (4, 4a) on which the sash (3) slides and which rest on a track (5); a controlling member (6) mounted on the sash (3), connected to operating means (7) which, when actuated by the controlling member (6), lift the sash (3) from the carriages (4, 4a) so that it can be slid open, and then lower the sash (3) when the sash (3) is returned to the closed position; a first slider (8) slidably fitted in the groove (C) made in an upper horizontal member (9) of the sash (3) and connected to the operating means (7); a first contact element (10) located in the proximity of the first slider (8) and rotatable between a lowered, non-operating position and a raised operating position; drive means (11) acting between the first slider (8) and the first contact element (10) and designed to allow a first position of lifting and stable positioning of the first contact element (10) when the sash (3) moves from the raised configuration to the lowered configuration in such a way as to prevent the sash (3) from being lifted off the fixed frame (2).
Abstract:
A guiding system for a sliding door, especially a motor vehicle, comprising a sliding rail (5) with an upper cover (6) and a lower edge (7) arranged opposite the upper cover (6), and a roller element (101) which is guided in the sliding rail (5) and comprises a roller element housing (102) is presented. Three rollers (103, 104) are rotatably fixed to the roller element housing (102), two rollers (103) extending along the upper cover (6) of the sliding rail (5) and the third roller (104) extending along the lower edge (7). The invention creates one such guiding system in such a way that there is no play, it operates quietly, and has a taut system characteristic. To this end, a spring element (109) is fixed to the roller element housing (102), said spring element pressing on of the first two roller (103) and the third roller (104) against the sliding rail (5).
Abstract:
A sliding door system includes a sliding door having an upper roller assembly disposed atop a portion of the door's frame, a lower wheel assembly disposed at a bottom portion of the frame, a channeled upper track, a lower track having at least one convex longitudinal rail configured to receive the lower wheel assembly, and one or more optional panel divider strips. The lower wheel assembly includes a vertical spine having a transverse shaft coupled to a bottom portion thereof, a lower wheel that has a concave contact surface and is rotatably coupled to the transverse shaft, and a transverse latch member disposed vertically below the lower wheel to slidably latch the lower wheel assembly to the lower track as the lower wheel rotates matingly on the convex longitudinal rail.
Abstract:
A sliding glass door has a pair of rollers mounted adjacent the upper corners, which rollers are cantilevered rearwardly and cooperate with a horizontally elongate L-shaped support track which spans horizontally across the door opening and across an adjacent upright wall panel to enable the door to move into an opened position wherein it overlies the adjacent wall panel. The height of the roller-track arrangement and of the structure defining such arrangement, as it extends across the upper edge of the door opening and the adjacent wall panel, is minimized to provide improved aesthetics.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sliding element, which is suspended and guided on a running track by means of roller carriers or gliding elements, using running track retainers that are connected to a substructure and engage with the underside of the running track. The invention also relates to an anti-removal device, which comprises a locking elements that can be pressed elastically against the running track and that yields when crossed by a running track retainer.
Abstract:
A door element or wall element having lower castors (12) which are movable on a runner (13) is equipped in the region of the castors (12) with a securing member (28) which, by entry of securing hooks (31, 32) into the runner (13), prevents the castors (12) from undesirably lifting off from the runner (13). The securing member (28), which is designed as a simple plastic part, is mounted movably, namely rotatably, on a castor axle (23) of the castor.
Abstract:
A horizontally sliding door includes a resilient retention system that helps hold a door panel tightly against its seals when the door is closed, and resiliently releases the door panel when an external force displaces the panel beyond its normal path of travel. If the door panel is displaced off its normal path, the resilience of the retention system or simply opening and closing the door automatically returns the panel back to normal operation. The resilient retention system can be installed off the floor, so the system avoids creating a tripping hazard and avoids being damaged by nearby vehicles.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a hanger for guiding an element suspended from a rail so that the element can be moved back and forth. To create a hanger which forms a compact and visually attractive unit and which occupies the least possible amount of space without sacrificing the ability to serve various applications and to perform different functions, the hanger has an essentially flat, elongated shape with a middle section between two opposite end area, where the end areas are rounded.
Abstract:
A door track and roller system for a mounting a sliding door in a frame that includes, as a lower track for mounting along a lower surface of a sliding door frame, at least one section of a straight channel that has top edges of parallel side walls that are inturned at right angles to form aligned flat flanges that are open therebetween to accommodate a carriage of the sliding door traveling therebetween, and which flanges include at least one transverse slot formed therein of a length to pass a roller and axle of a carriage of a roller assembly of the sliding door therethrough. Each roller assembly carriage to preferably include a roller journaled onto an axle fitted through the carriage, with a lower edge or side of a section of the glass, or the like, maintained between upper sides of the carriage as a casing. The roller axle is arranged to fit through the channel flanges transverse slot, but will engage the undersurfaces of the flanges, to block travel of the roller out from between the channel flanges, should an attempt be made to lift the sliding door out of the lower track.
Abstract:
An apparatus for supporting one or more theatrical panels and, in a more specific aspect, a carriage assembly adapted for such task in association with a horizontal track having an upper guide surface and a lower guide surface, provide horizontal movement quietly, smoothly, with low frictional resistance and in a highly-linear fashion with low rock and sway. A horizontal track comprising an upper guide surface and a lower guide surface supports a carriage assembly having a plurality of upper guide wheels and a plurality of lower guide wheels. The upper guide wheels are supported in rolling contact with the upper guide surface and the lower guide wheels are supported in rolling contact with the lower guide surface. The axles supporting the upper guide wheels are preferably horizontally offset from vertical lines extending through any of the axles supporting the lower guide wheels. The guide wheels are preferably resilient at least at the surface and grooved to engage the guide surfaces.
