Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for regulating gene expression, comprising introducing into a cell each of a recombinant vector which expresses a first domain comprising N-terminus of a Cas9 protein, and a recombinant vector which expresses a second domain comprising C-terminus of a Cas9 protein, a composition comprising the recombinant vectors, a kit for regulating gene expression, and a method for intracellular production of Cas9 protein. Moreover, the present invention relates to a transformed cell introduced with a viral vector which packages the first domain, and a viral vector which packages the second domain, and to a composition comprising a virus produced therefrom.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a decrease in the functions of the hippocampus by using the correlation between a micro RNA (miRNA) and an N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR), a method for inhibiting the decrease in the functions, and a method for screening for inhibitors of the decrease in the functions. The present invention confirms that miR-204, among miRNAs up-regulated in an aged hippocampus, decreases the expression of EphB2, by accurately targeting EphB2, which is an important regulatory receptor, resulting in a decrease in the neuronal surface expression of an NR1 subunit of an NMDAR in hippocampal nerves and a decrease in the density of dendrites, thereby having an effect of determining whether the functions of the hippocampus are decreased, by using the correlation between a miRNA and an NMDAR, and furthermore, has an effect of providing a method for inhibiting the decrease in the functions of the hippocampus, and a method for screening for inhibitors of the decrease in the functions.

Abstract: Provided are a polymer capsule loaded with transition metal particles having excellent water dispersibility and stability, and a method for preparing the same. In addition, a method for preparing a polymer capsule loaded with transition metal particles according to the present invention includes a) preparing a polymer capsule; b) surface-modifying the polymer capsule to prepare a polymer capsule having a positive zeta potential in a dispersed state in water; and c) sequentially adding a water-soluble transition metal precursor and a reducing agent to a water dispersion of the surface-modified polymer capsule obtained in step b).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of increasing the production efficiency of gene-edited plants, regenerated from plant protoplasts, by use of a Cas protein-guide RNA ribonucleoprotein (RNP). According to the present invention, the method of increasing the production efficiency of gene-edited plants makes it possible to efficiently produce target gene-mutated plants and to minimize the introduction of foreign DNA into plants. Thus, the present invention can be very advantageously used in a wide variety of fields, including agriculture, food and biotechnology.

Abstract: Provided are a transition metal compound including a novel carbene compound as a ligand, a preparation method thereof, and an application thereof. The transition metal compound according to the present invention may form a structurally stable complex and also have a HOMO-LUMO energy gap and singlet-triplet transition energy which are significantly low as compared with a conventional transition metal compound. In addition, according to the present invention, the transition metal compound may be synthesized in large quantities by a very simple method, thereby having high commercial utility, and thus, an application using the compound is expected.

Abstract: Provided are a biosensor and a method for forming the same, a glucose control system, a method for forming the glucose control system, and a method for controlling glucose using the glucose control system. Abstract: A quantum dot electronic device comprises a first encapsulation layer, a first electrode disposed on the first encapsulation layer, a quantum dot pattern disposed on the first electrode, a second electrode disposed on the quantum dot pattern and a second encapsulation layer disposed on the second electrode. The quantum dot pattern may be famed by an intaglio transfer printing method, where the method comprises forming a quantum dot layer on a donor substrate, picking up the quantum dot layer using a stamp, putting the quantum dot layer into contact with an intaglio substrate using the stamp and separating the stamp from the intaglio substrate. Using the quantum dot transfer printing method, a subminiature quantum dot pattern can be transferred at a high transfer rate. Accordingly, a highly integrated quantum dot electronic device exhibiting excellent performance and a high integrated quantum dot light emitting device with an ultrathin film can be realized.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a component including graphene foam and functioning as a flow field and a gas diffusion layer (GDL) for a fuel cell. More particularly, a component functioning as a flow field and a GDL for a fuel cell according to the present invention is made of graphene foam that enhances mass transport and suffers no corrosion under operating conditions of the fuel cell when compared with a conventional flow field, thereby realizing excellent performance and durability. Furthermore, the component functions as the GDL so a thickness of a membrane electrode assembly is reduced thereby improving cell performance significantly.
