PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing herb extract and polyol is porivded to enhance collagen density at dermal layer and to improve skin luster. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for improving skin transparency contains 0.001-10.0 weight% of herb extract, 0.001-20.0 weight% of polyol, and 0.001-20.0 weight% of silicon powder. The extract is Oldenlandia diffusa extract. The polyol is selected from the group consisting of glycerin, butylene glylcol, propylene glycol, and dipropylen glycol. The silicon powder is selected from poly methyl silsesquioxane and silsesquioxane polymer.

A skin external application composition for moisturizing comprises 0.0001-30 wt.% of an extract of Scrophularia buergeriana Miq. as an effective ingredient. The composition further comprises an extract of Poria cocos wolf. In the composition, the extract of the Scrophularia buergeriana Miq. is prepared by extracting or fractionating the Scrophularia buergeriana Miq. with a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, methanol, hexane, ethylacetate and butanol. Further, the skin external application composition is used as ointment, gel, cream or powder.

A cosmetic composition comprises maillard reaction products generated during the red ginseng preparation, wherein the maillard reaction products in which saponin and oil-soluble ingredients are removed are separated through a dialysis membrane into a first fraction and an extra-solution of the dialysis, and the extra-solution is separated through gel-chromatography into a second fraction and a third fraction. The first fraction comprises melanoidin polymer having a molecular weight of less than 4,800, xylose, glucose, arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, glycine and phenylalanine, the second fraction comprises maltulosyl arginine having a molecular weight of less than 4,000, serine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, alanine, lysine and arginine, and a third fraction comprises fructosyl arginine having a molecular weight of less than 2,000, xylose, fructose, glucose, glycine, serine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid. The dried weight of the maillard reaction products regarding the total cosmetic composition is 10^-8-50 wt.%.

An oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic composition for blocking UV is provided to be able to maintain the long term emulsion stability at high temperature, and show excellent feeling of use by adding a surfactant and a high fatty alcohol into a composition containing a polycaprolactone-polyethyleneglycol(PCL-PEG) copolymer and a UV blocking agent. The oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic composition for blocking UV comprises 0.2-2.0 wt.% of a PCL-PEG copolymer, 0.5-2.0 wt.% of a surfactant such as alkyl glucoside surfactant, 0.5-3.0 wt.% of a high fatty alcohol such as a C12-22 fatty alcohol, and 0.5-10.0 wt.% of a UV blocking agent. In the composition, the blocking agent comprises 1.0-7.0 wt.% of octylmethoxy cinnamate and 0.5-3.0 wt.% of isoamyl-p-methoxy cinnamate.
