Abstract:
A control unit of a control system for wheel-specific braking torque control is provided for a vehicle having an electronically controlled transmission. The control unit records the speeds of all wheels of the vehicle for the purpose of recognizing wheel slippage. The control unit records at least one vehicle dynamics operating parameter of the vehicle as an input signal, which can be recognized by a yawing of the vehicle. In the case of slippage on at least one wheel of an axle and when yawing of the vehicle takes place, the control unit initiates an up-shifting process in the transmission in order to reduce the engine torque by a certain torque amount. At the same time, the control unit initiates a braking intervention on both wheels of the other axle, i.e. the axle without the wheel slippage, in order to increase the braking torque by the same torque amount.

An automatic brake control system for a vehicle in which the brakes, are controlled by a control unit to limit vehicle speed to a target speed when descending a hill. The control unit is arranged to control the vehicle speed so that, as the vehicle speed approaches the target speed, the rate of change of acceleration of the vehicle does not exceed a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A wheeled vehicle has brakes (14, 16, 17) controlled by an electronic control unit (22) and a hydraulic control system (20). A switch (32) can be used to cause the control unit to enter a hill descent control mode. In this mode the control unit controls the speed of the vehicle by keeping it at or below a threshold level to achieve controlled descent of a hill without the need for the driver to apply the brakes.

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a brake of a vehicle are provided to prevent a vehicle from leaning on a downhill road by performing a braking control only using rear wheels. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling a brake of a vehicle comprises a brake detection unit(100), a braking torque detection unit(200), a slop degree detection unit(300), a control unit(400), and first and second actuators(500,600). The brake detection unit detects required braking. The braking torque detection unit detects braking torque. The slop degree detection unit detects the slop degree of a road. When the required braking is detected, the control unit generates braking force by only operating a rear wheel brake. The first and second actuators control the valves of front and rear wheel brake hydraulic lines.
