    Abstract: An adhesive film includes a first (meth)acrylate copolymer containing at least 55 weight percent (wt. %) of linear or branched alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer units, from 15 to 40 wt. % of (meth)acrylic acid monomer units, and 0.1 to 5 wt. % of monomer units of a crosslinking monomer having more than one (meth)acrylate group. If the first (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises 15 wt. % (meth)acrylic acid monomer units, the first (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises at least five wt. % monomer units of a high Tg monomer. The adhesive film comprises not more than five wt. % of a further (meth)acrylate copolymer comprising from 0.1 to 15 wt. % of (meth)acrylic acid monomer units. The adhesive film can be a multilayer adhesive assembly including a first layer of the first (meth)acrylate copolymer and a second adhesive layer adjacent to the first layer. A process for making and a system including the adhesive film and a primer are also described.

    Abstract: A solid effervescent cleaning composition is described comprising one or more acids and a gas generator; wherein a 1 wt. % aqueous solution of the solid cleaning composition has a pH in a range of 4 to 9; and at least one antimicrobial compound. In some embodiments, a 1 wt. % aqueous solution of the solid effervescent cleaning composition provides at least a 3 log reduction for both gram position and gram negative bacteria. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial compound is selected from aromatic alcohols; aliphatic alcohols, optionally further comprising an ester moiety; and combinations thereof. Also described is a (e.g. dry) wipe comprising a woven or nonwoven substrate further comprising the solid effervescent cleaning composition described herein; and cleaning tools with handles.

    Abstract: Curable compositions of this disclosure comprise a mixture of: a silanol, a free radical initiator, an iodonium salt; and optionally an alkoxysilane, and/or an MQ resin, and/or (meth)acrylate monomer(s). In another aspect, cured compositions of this disclosure comprise: a cured silicone, a free radical initiator or residue thereof, an iodonium salt or residue thereof; and optionally a poly(meth)acrylate and/or an MQ resin, which may comprise the cured silicone. In another aspect, cured compositions of this disclosure comprise: a continuous phase of cured silicone, a discontinuous phase of poly(meth)acrylate inclusions, and optionally an MQ resin, which may comprise the cured silicone. The poly(meth)acrylate inclusions may have an average diameter of less than 1.0 micrometer or smaller. The compositions may be pressure sensitive adhesives. The curable and cured compositions may be solvent-free.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for detecting surface profile defects within a moving web. An example system includes a conveyor configured to translate the web, along a downweb direction and at a translation speed, relative to an inspection area; a point light source configured to emit light, wherein the point light source is positioned and oriented relative to the conveyor to illuminate a portion of the web positioned within the inspection area; a diffusing screen positioned and oriented relative to the conveyor to receive the light reflected from the web as the web is translated through the inspection area; an image capture device configured to capture images of the diffusing screen; and a computing device configured to: identify, based on the images, a surface profile defect in a surface of web; and output data indicating a relative location of the defect within the web.

    Abstract: Provided is an electrically-conductive assembly and methods thereof. The electrically-conductive assembly includes a release liner having a major surface, a conductive layer extending across a portion of the major surface according to a pre-determined shape, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer disposed between the release liner and the conductive layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be mutually coextensive with the conductive layer. An insulating layer is disposed on the conductive layer and the release liner, such that the conductive layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer are captured between the insulating layer and the major surface of the release liner. The provided assembly can sustain an electrical current to carry signals or distribute power in layered composite structures.
