Abstract:
The present invention is an abrasive agglomerate. The abrasive agglomerate includes between about 8 and about 50 wt % cerium oxide, between about 5 and about 75 wt % filler, and a curable, polymeric binder resin.
Abstract:
Fibers, which can be used for making wipes (e.g., antimicrobial wipes), wherein the fibers include a core comprising an aliphatic polyester; and an epoxidized fatty ester having greater than 4.7 wt-% oxirane oxygen, based on the total weight of the epoxidized fatty ester; wherein the epoxidized fatty ester is disposed on the surface of the fiber core.
Abstract:
Compositions include a water-soluble copolymer, a hydrophilic silane compound, and in some embodiments surfactant dispersed in a liquid phase. Methods of using the compositions to coat and optionally clean a substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Compositions include a water-soluble polymer, silica nanoparticles, and a combination of a nonionic and anionic dispersed in an aqueous liquid phase. The polymer is a water-soluble copolymer of acrylic acid and an acrylamide, or a salt of the same. Methods of using the compositions to clean and coat a substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Fibers, which can be used for making wipes (e.g., antimicrobial wipes), wherein the include: an aliphatic polyester; an unreacted epoxidized fatty ester having greater than 4.7 wt-% oxirane oxygen, based on the total weight of the epoxidized fatty ester; wherein the aliphatic polyester and unreacted epoxidized fatty ester form a mixture.
Abstract:
A method of removing an unwanted constituent from a siliceous surface in which the method includes contacting the siliceous surface and the unwanted constituent with a multi-functional composition that includes water, a hydrophilic silane, and a surfactant, and drying the surface.
Abstract:
Fluorinated silane compounds, compositions containing the fluorinated silane compounds, and articles prepared using the fluorinated silane compounds and compositions are described. The fluorinated silane compounds can be soluble or dispersible in aqueous media, such as water, and can be used to coat articles, such as glass articles.
Abstract:
Compositions include a water-soluble polymer of acrylic acid and an acrylamide, or a salt of the same and surfactant. Methods of using the compositions to clean and coat a substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A composition of matter that includes: an aliphatic polyester; at least 2 wt-% of an unreacted epoxidized fatty ester, wherein the epoxidized fatty ester has greater than 4.7 wt-% oxirane oxygen, based on the total weight of the epoxidized fatty ester; and greater than 0 and up to 10 wt-% of a shrink reduction additive; wherein the aliphatic polyester, epoxidized fatty ester, and shrink reduction additive form a mixture; and wherein the weight percentages, other than the weight percentage of the oxirane oxygen, are based on the total weight of the mixture.
Abstract:
A solid effervescent cleaning composition is described comprising one or more acids and a gas generator; wherein a 1 wt. % aqueous solution of the solid cleaning composition has a pH in a range of 4 to 9; and at least one antimicrobial compound. In some embodiments, a 1 wt. % aqueous solution of the solid effervescent cleaning composition provides at least a 3 log reduction for both gram position and gram negative bacteria. In some embodiments, the antimicrobial compound is selected from aromatic alcohols; aliphatic alcohols, optionally further comprising an ester moiety; and combinations thereof. Also described is a (e.g. dry) wipe comprising a woven or nonwoven substrate further comprising the solid effervescent cleaning composition described herein; and cleaning tools with handles.
