Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve dispersion of an electrostatic charge control agent and to decrease fogging of an image by dispersing the charge control agent into a polymerizable monomer in the presence of a specific succinic acid imide compd., then subjecting the dispersion to a suspension polymn. CONSTITUTION:This toner is produced by dispersing the charge control agent, coloring agent, etc., in the presence of the alkyl- or alkenyl succinic acid imide expressed by the formula I and/or the formula II into the polymerizable monomer, then adding a polymn. initiator thereto and subjecting the dispersion to the suspension polymn. The charge control agent is preferably the azo metallic complex dye (e.g.: the dye expressed by the formula III). In the formula, R, R' denote straight chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl of 12-300C; M denotes Cr, Co; Y, Z denote a unit contg. a prescribed arom. ring. Since the dispersibility of the charge control agent is improved by this method, the toner which decreases the fogging and has excellent developability and printing resistance is obtd.

The magnetic layer is formed by dispersing >=1 kinds of the coupling agents selected from the group consisting of the org. silane compd., etc., having a hydrolyzable alkoxy silane group in one molecule and the fine ferromagnetic powder subjected to the surface treatment by >=1 kinds of the phosphates selected from the group consisting of the phosphate having the structure expressed by the formula, etc., in an inert org. solvent into the above-mentioned binder.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a toner containing an electrification controller in a sufficient dispersion state, and capable of forming an image high in quality by dispersing said controller into a monomer in the presence of a higher fatty acid salt of long-chain alkyl or hydroxyalkyl amine specified in structure. CONSTITUTION:The electrification controller and the colorant, such as carbon black are dispersed into the polymerizable monomer and suspension polymerized in the presence of the higher fatty acid salt of the long-chain alkyl or hydroxyalkyl amine represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of R1-R4 is 8-20C long-chain alkyl or alkenyl or the like, and R5 is 8-18 alkyl or alkenyl, thus permitting the electrification controller to be easily dispersed finely and uniformly into the monomer without being coalesced by the electrification stabilizer and localized to the surface of each toner particle during the suspension polymerization, and accordingly, the superior toner to be synthesized.

The amt. of the phosphonate compd. expressed by the formula (I) to be added is pref. 0.5-4wt% basing on the amt. of the polymerizable monomer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form an electrostatic charge image developing toner having superior triboelectrification characteristics, and yet, superior humidity resistance by surface treating, with a reactive organic titanium compound, the particles of the polymer of a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated group and a specified carbon number. CONSTITUTION:The monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated group and 3-25C, such as styrene, is polymerized in an aqueous medium in the presence of a water-soluble polymer and/or a water-hardly soluble inorganic salt, and the obtained polymer particles are surface treated with an reactive organic titanium compound, generally called a titanium coupling agent, suchas isopropyl- tristearoyl titanate. Such a coupling agent is used, preferably, in an amount of 0.3-3wt% of the polymer particles usually obtained by the suspension polymerization method.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for use of a large amt. of rolling oil, by forming a coating of a mixture contg. at least one member selected from among particular polymer, monomer, etc. as the major ingredient on the surface of a steel plate after hot rolling or a steel plate from which scale has been removed and curing the coating to form a steel plate having a lubricating cured coating. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate after hot rolling or a steel plate from which scale has been removed after hot rolling is coated with a mixture contg. at least one member selected from among active energy ray-curable or heat-curable monomer, oligomer and polymer. The coating is irradiated with an active energy ray or heat-treated to allow it to cure, thereby obtaining a pretreated steel plate for cold rolling having a lubricating cured coating. It is preferred that the mixture contain a lubrication improver such as fat and oil, mineral oil or solid lubricant and an adhesion improver having a polar group such as a phosphoric acid group, a carboxyl group or an amino group.
