    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may distinguish between synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) intended for different classes of UEs. For example, a base station may transmit different SSBs in a physical broadcast channel with different configurations or parameters to indicate different UE classes, where UEs may monitor for and receive SSBs for their UE class. A UE may operate according to a UE class (e.g., New Radio (NR) Light) associated with lower bandwidths and may identify SSBs associated with this UE class to connect with a base station. The UE may identify the SSBs associated with the UE class based on a subcarrierlevel offset value either implicitly or explicitly indicated to the UE. Additionally, the base station may transmit fields to indicate different parameters for subsequent communications transmitted according to the UE class.

    Abstract: In an aspect, a BS is configured as a serving cell of a UE. The BS transmits data to the UE in accordance with a frequency hopping scheme over a first set of T-F resources of a first BWP and a second set of T-F resources of a second BWP. The BS (or another BS) further transmits, to the UE over a third BWP that is different than the second BWP, a PDCCH including a PI field with a PI associated with the transmitted data over the second set of T-F resources of the second BWP. The UE receives the data and the PDCCH. The UE processes the received data over (at least) the second set of T-F resources based on the PI.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a starting symbol of a radio frequency (RF) retuning gap between a first plurality of repetitions of an uplink transmission in a first frequency hop and a second plurality of repetitions of the uplink transmission in a second frequency hop. The starting symbol of the RF retuning gap is based at least in part on a starting symbol of the second plurality of repetitions and a quantity of symbols included in the RF retuning gap. The UE may determine an ending symbol of the RF retuning gap based at least in part on the starting symbol of the second plurality of repetitions. The UE may perform RF retuning during the RF retuning gap. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal configuring a set of random access opportunities over which to transmit a preamble associated with a random access procedure, each random access opportunity associated with a set of one or more uplink data opportunities. The UE may identify a repetition parameter for an uplink message. The UE may select a random access opportunity from the set of configured random access opportunities for transmitting the preamble based at least in part on the repetition parameter. The UE may transmit the preamble on the selected random access opportunity. The UE may transmit one or more repetitions of the uplink message based at least in part on the set of one or more uplink data opportunities associated with the selected random access opportunity.
