Abstract: A parking lot includes a plurality of parking spaces monitored by a single camera. A parking lot management method for managing the parking lot includes a parking space allocation process that allocates an available parking space having a highest entry priority among the plurality of parking spaces to an entry vehicle entering the parking lot. The plurality of parking spaces include a first parking space and a second parking space that is closer to an installation position of the single camera than the first parking space is. An entry priority of the first parking space is higher than an entry priority of the second parking space.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses, systems, and methods for radar object classification. A radar classification system may include a number of endpoint units and a base station. Each endpoint unit includes a camera and a radar. The camera may image a scene and the image may be used to establish spatial zones within the scene. The radar may collect point cloud data from one or more objects in the scene. A classifier may determine an identity of the object based on the point cloud data. The base station may collect information such as the identity and location of objects in the scene and relate this information to the spatial zones. For example, objects may be identified as a vehicle, pedestrian, or cycle, and related to zones such as roadway, sidewalk, and crosswalk for the purpose of traffic control.

Abstract: A parking system for a vehicle including a braking system, including one or more cameras capturing image data representative of an environment surrounding the vehicle, and a display located within an interior cabin of the vehicle. The display shows image data representative of the environment surrounding the vehicle. The parking system also includes one or more controllers in electronic communication with the one or more cameras and the display. The one or more controllers execute instructions to determine the user is about to execute a parking maneuver based on the image data collected by the one or more cameras. In response to determining the user is about to execute the parking maneuver, the one or more controllers instruct the display to show the image data representative of the environment surrounding the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular safety feature control system includes a camera disposed at a vehicle that views exterior of the equipped vehicle. The vehicular safety feature control system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) for processing image data captured by the camera to detect presence of objects. The ECU, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera, detects an object on a collision course with the equipped vehicle. The ECU, responsive to detecting the object on the collision course with the equipped vehicle, classifies the detected object. The ECU estimates a mass of the detected object based on the classification. The ECU estimates a kinetic energy of a potential collision and, based on the estimated kinetic energy of the potential collision, estimates a severity of the potential collision. The ECU controls a safety feature of the equipped vehicle based on the estimated severity of the potential collision.

Abstract: A parking lot includes: a plurality of parking spaces arranged in series in a first direction; a camera configured to take a picture of the plurality of parking spaces; and a recognition target provided in each of the plurality of parking spaces. A usage status of each parking space is determined based on a result of recognition of the recognition target by the camera. Each parking space includes a first parking space line and a second parking space line. The first parking space line is located closer to the camera than the second parking space line is in the first direction. The recognition target is arranged to be decentered from a center line between the first parking space line and the second parking space line toward a region on a side of the second parking space line.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for supporting a movement of a moving body in a predetermined area. The system acquires an image captured by an infrastructure camera such that the image includes a plurality of markers arranged in the predetermined area. The system compares the image acquired this time and the image acquired previous time. The system detects a position change marker among the plurality of markers whose position in the image acquired previous time changes from that in the image acquired this time. The system determines that the infrastructure camera is out of position when it is detected that number of the position change marker is equal to or more than a predetermined number. The system determines that the infrastructure camera is not out of position when it is detected that number of the position change marker is less than the predetermined number.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide various systems and methods for automated classification of vehicle reads to build vehicle identification profile and for automated vehicle identification using content extracted from an image frame of a vehicle to identify a most probable vehicle identification profile. An example method comprises capturing, by a camera, a read comprising an image frame including a portion of a vehicle; identifying at least one of a license plate number and a descriptor of the vehicle using image processing on the read; determining a probability value that the read includes the vehicle based on the identified at least one of the license plate number and the descriptor; when the probability value exceeds a threshold value, identifying a vehicle identification profile in a database using the identified at least one of the license plate number and the descriptor; and updating the vehicle identification profile to include the captured read.
