The system is provided for implementing the method of the present invention.
Abstract:
The method of the invention, comprising at the user side: a) checking if the load of a first gateway to which a user terminal device is wirelessly connected, falls below a given low load threshold; b) if said first gateway load has fallen below said given low load threshold, looking for other available gateways whose loads at said discrete time are below a given high load threshold and above a given low load threshold; and c) redirecting at least a part of the data traffic of said user terminal device from said first gateway to an available second gateway found at said step b). The system is arranged to implement the method of the invention.
Abstract:
The system comprises: a light source injecting a monitoring light signal together with at least one data light signal by means of a global light signal at an input of a PON; a power splitter splitting said global light signal into a plurality of sub-global signals; and a plurality of filters each of them connected between an output of said power splitter and a respective branch of said PON, and each of them allowing the pass of said at least one data light signal and of a single wavelength or set of wavelengths of said monitoring light signal giving as result a filtered sub-global light signal. The method is adapted to use the system for physical layer monitoring in PONs.
Abstract:
A method and a system for managing user's reputation information for a given service The method comprises managing said user's reputation information by means of a global and centralized reputation management unit for a plurality of given services, said managing comprising generating and storing said reputation information for a user based on context variables and the historic of the activity or experience of said user in specific service fields in which the user generates content or provides an opinion or a recommendation. The system is arranged for implementing the method of the present invention.
Abstract:
Procedure for a multiple digital signature. It comprises: • i) generating, by a Trusted Third Party (T), a private key for each signer or member ( F 1 , F 2 ,.... F t ) of a group of signers (G); • ii) generating, by each of said signers ( F 1 , F 2 ,...F t ), a partial signature of a document ( M) using their private keys; • iii) generating a multiple signature from said partial signatures; and • iv) verifying said multiple signature. It further comprises generating, by the Trusted Third Party (T), a common public key for all of said signers (F 1 , F 2 ,... F t ) and using said common public key for performing said multiple signature verification of step iv).
Abstract:
The content server comprises means for communicating with the different entities of the CDN, means for serving content to the CDN end users and further, comprises a DNS module for participating in DNS resolution of end user requests. For some embodiments, the content server further comprises means for behaving as an origin server and for implementing different content server capabilities, and a FLV streamer module for serving live flash content. The content server preferably uses the meta-data of the bucket and of the files in the bucket as a guidance to serve content to a requesting end user.
Abstract:
A method and a system for physical layer monitoring in Passive Optical Networks. The system comprises: - a light source (2) injecting a varying wavelength monitoring light signal at an input of a PON; - optical reflectors (8) provided at different points of said PON for receiving the monitoring light signal and reflecting back, each, that part of said monitoring light signal having a specific and individualized wavelength; - light detecting means (17) arranged for receiving said reflected light signals; and - analysis means connected to said light detecting means (17) and with access to previous knowledge about which specific wavelength each reflector (8) reflects, to determine the location of each of the optical reflectors (8) as a function of the arrival order, at said light detecting means (17), of its respective reflected signal. The method is adapted to use the system for physical layer monitoring in PONs.
Abstract:
This invention refers to a method for providing presence information in telecommunication systems. It comprises the steps of: classifying the plurality of presence information statuses, generated by a plurality of telecommunication services associated to a user A (I), in groups depending on the telecommunication service; publishing simultaneously (II) the plurality of presence information statuses of user A on a presence server (2); and notifying (9) a set of presence information statuses from the plurality of the presence information statuses of user A, to a client (5) of the presence server which is a watcher of user A. Finally the set of presence information statuses, notified by the presence server to the watcher, may be displayed on means adapted for displaying content according to their corresponding relevance, priority and expiration time.
Abstract:
Method for mobile location in a wireless network offering location-based services It comprises: - defining and managing an indoor area sensitive to the movements of user mobile processing devices, - detecting events that occur automatically when a user mobile processing device interacts with said indoor defined area; and - using a location server for locating said user mobile processing device based on programmed triggers and/or on triggers associated to the detected events. The method further comprises, when the location server has an unknown address or when a new location server needs to be used, determining the unknown address of the location server or the address of the new location server by collecting and exchanging parameters relating thereto between the user mobile processing device and the location server or the new location server.
