An elevator load bearing assembly (40) includes a plurality of synthetic or polymer cords (42) within a urethane jacket (44). The cords are prestretched and the jacket prevents the stretched cords from relaxing. The inventive arrangement provides a load bearing assembly (40) that has little or no elastic or construction stretch.

A cable (11) is provided comprising a steel cord (12) and a polymer material (15).The steel cord (12) has a diameter less than 2.5mm, and is coated with the polymer material (15). The cable (11) has a permanent elongation of less than 0.05 % at a permanent force of 50N, after being subjected to a force of 450N. Further, a window elevator system (300) comprising such a cable (11) is provided.

A (1 x n)-structure tire reinforcing steel cord which is installed by being wound at opposite side edges of the belt portion of the tire, and formed by twisting 4 to 7 strands each having a wire size of 0.20-0.45 mm, the cord having a spiral/planar waveform permanency, an elongation factor being 1.2-2.0% under a tensile load of 50 N in a tensile test based on JIS B 7721, a tensile load ranging from 50 to 250 N when the cord is linearized. The cord elongates properly by following up the expansion of the tire at tire building, and, after built, has a small elongation characteristic to thereby restrict a radial expansion caused by the high-speed continuous rotation of the tire.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PC (prestressed concrete) steel stranded wire having higher strength than the conventional strength and sufficient fatigue resistance and to provide a concrete structure using the stranded wire. SOLUTION: The high-strength PC steel stranded wire having the higher strength than the conventional strength and fatigue resistance sufficient for practical use can be obtained as follows. The steel stranded wire is 7 stranded constitution prepared by stranding one central wire with 6 side wires. The steel stranded wire is regulated so that the outside diameter is 15.0-15.6 mm, the total cross-sectional area is 135-148 mm 2 , the load for 0.2% permanent elongation of the whole stranded wire is ≥248 kN and the load for 0.2% permanent elongation of the side wires is ≥80% of the load for 0.2% permanent elongation of the central wire. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly demonstrate a rigid feeling and a light feeling in the steering stability while easily controlling elongation characteristics, and suppressing an increase in weight to be low. SOLUTION: A radial tire comprises a core consisting of an aramid fiber cord part with aramid fibers twisted with each other and an outer layer consisting of one steel cord part with a plurality of steel strand twisted with each other and wounded around the core. The degree of elongation at 50 N load is set to be 0.5-0.7%, the degree of elongation at 100 N load is set to be 1.25-1.6%, and the degree of elongation at 300N load is set to be 2.0-2.6%, respectively.
