PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement applying device, a settlement receiving device, a settlement applying method, and a settlement receiving method which enable both sides to directly send and receive data not through a telephone network by making radio communication connections and omit the trouble of cable connections, etc. SOLUTION: A mobile information terminal 1 sends and receives personal information, settlement information, credit information, present application information, etc., to and from a store terminal 2 through radio communication. The store terminal 2 sends the personal information, settlement information, present application information, etc., received from the portable information terminal 1 through the radio communication to a settlement server 10 and requests the personal information to be authenticated. According to the authentication result of the settlement server 10, an application for settlement from the mobile information terminal 1 is accepted. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for sensitivity data calculation which automatically calculate data regarding feelings resulting from sensitivity or the sensitivity by analyzing a signal regarding the feelings of a human such as an audio signal. SOLUTION: An MP3 data storage part 4 stores digital sound data recorded in the MP3 format. An expansion part 11 expands the compressed MP3 data (A) and outputs them as sound pressure value data (B) by frequency bands. A sensitivity data calculation part 12 is equipped with a feeling analysis part 13 and a rhythm analysis part 14. The rhythm analysis part 14 finds the number of beats per unit time according to the data (B). The feeling analysis part 13 finds several kinds of feeling parameter values according to the data (B), determines the kind and level of feelings according to the feeling parameter values and the number of beats per unit time, and writes the result to a sensitivity data storage part 2.

SOLUTION: The infrared communication coupling device is arranged among infrared communication devices to function as a transmission path for infrared communication. The device comprises an optical fiber cable 20 for transmitting infrared signals, a light reception/emission unit (not shown in the figure) provided at least at one end of the optical fiber cable 20, and a cover 10 for fixing the light reception/emission unit and shielding off disturbance light. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an optimum channel selecting voltages to respective varactor diodes in a tuner having two or more stages of tuning circuit, regardless of the dispersion of characteristics and stray capacitances of respective varactor diodes. SOLUTION: A frequency generating section 20 generates an RF signal of a first channel frequency to adjust an antenna tuning circuit 1 and supplies it to a tuner 10. Further, the section 20 applies a control voltage VA to a varactor diode D1 for adjustment. When a peak detector 50 detects that the output TPA of the antenna tuning circuit 1 has become maximum, the VA value at that point is stored in a channel selecting voltage memory 60. Then, a control voltage VR1 is applied to a varactor diode D2, and a control voltage VR2 is applied to a varactor diode D3 to adjust a multiple-tuning circuit 4. When it is detected that the output TPR of the multiple-tuning circuit 4 has become maximum, the values of VR1 and VR2 at that point are stored in the channel selecting voltage memory 60. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination method for quickening customs clearance procedures including discrimination of authenticity of a brand name product and for consequently enabling reduction of personnel expenses and cost reduction due to paperless application. SOLUTION: A company code, etc., encrypted by an encryption key is transmitted to an ID tag attached to the brand name product by a writing apparatus of a company manufacturing or selling the brand name product. The ID tag stores the encrypted company code, etc. An examination device of a staff who examines the authenticity of the brand name product receives information transmitted from the ID tag and decrypts the received information by a decryption key. Data obtained by decryption is compared with the preliminarily stored company code, whether or not they coincide is discriminated and a discrimination result is outputted. When the brand name product is discriminated to be genuine and export is permitted, employees, etc., of a shipping company store information to be described in a B/L (bill of lading) in the ID tag by encrypting it. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing a tenacity of nylon fiber.SOLUTION: A method for increasing a tenacity of nylon fiber comprises: dissolving a feedstock nylon fiber in a solvent comprising an alkanol at an elevated dissolving temperature and at a dissolving pressure higher than the equilibrium vapor pressure of the solvent at the dissolving temperature; filtering undissolved solids from the solution; precipitating nylon from the solution to form a precipitated mixture by decreasing at least one of pressure and temperature of the solution; concentrating the precipitated nylon to form a concentrated mixture by removing the solvent from the precipitated mixture; drying the concentrated mixture to form a solid nylon; and extruding the solid nylon into a nylon fiber having a higher tenacity than that of the feedstock nylon fiber.

SOLUTION: On a surface 10 of a web 12 for a floor cover material on which a cutting-out frame 14 is overlapped, the a cutting-out frame divides the surface of the web into: (a) a vertical direction (longitudinal direction) cutting-out area 16 and a lateral direction cutting-out area 18 both of which are located outside of the cutting-out frame; and (b) a design field (range) area 20 located in each frame 14.
