Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long measurable distance by a device for generating an accurate sampling clock in an SS-OCT, and to eliminate a ghost appearing in an OCT image because the accuracy of a sampling clock is bad.SOLUTION: The sampling clock generation device generates a sine wave as a sampling clock, and uses a low frequency noise reduction filter in order to eliminate low frequency noise in a clock signal. Such a low frequency noise reduction filter is used, which makes the maximum value of a spectral intensity of noise after transmitting the low frequency noise reduction filter to be about 60% or below of the spectral intensity of the signal. In addition, a frequency scanning light source is used, wherein noise to be spectral intensity of about 60% or more of the spectral intensity of the signal is closer to a low frequency side than to a frequency band of the signal in an intensity spectrum of a sampling clock before using a high pass filter, and the frequency band of the signal is separate from a frequency band of the noise by about 5 MHz or more.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission quantum efficiency measuring device which easily and certainly makes isotropic the light emission of an emitter sample showing strong light emission anisotropy, and accurately measures the light emission quantum efficiency of the emitter sample. SOLUTION: This light emission quantum efficiency measuring device has: an excitation light introduction window 2 in the orthogonal direction on the plane including the center of an integrating sphere 1; and a detection probe end 3 connected to a spectrometer. The emitter sample 5 is arranged inside the integrating sphere 1 and on the line perpendicular to this plane from the center, and a baffle plate 7 is placed in a position viewing the emitter sample 5 from the detection probe end 3. Abstract:
A processor and method for performing outer product and outer product accumulation operations on vector operands requiring large numbers of multiplies and accumulations is disclosed.
Abstract:
Expandably wide operations are disclosed in which operands wider than the data path between a processor and memory are used in executing instructions. The expandably wide operands reduce the influence of the characteristics of the associated processor in the design of functional units performing calculations, including the width of the register file, the processor clock rate, the exception subsystem of the processor, and the sequence of operations in loading and use of the operand in a wide cache memory.
Abstract:
Loudspeaker systems and assemblies are provided in which mid-frequency producing drivers are provided on opposing sides of a high frequency source comprising a linear high-frequency source connected to a waveguide. Crossover circuitry is provided such that the acoustic output from the mid-frequency drivers overlaps with that of the high-frequency source over an intermediate frequency range associated with acoustic interference between the mid-frequency producing drivers. In some embodiments, the mid-frequency producing drivers are recessed behind the output of the waveguide, and optionally angled outwardly from the waveguide, in order decrease the distance therebetween.
Abstract:
A programmable processor and method for improving the performance of processors by expanding at least two source operands, or a source and a result operand, to a width greater than the width of either the general purpose register or the data path width. The present invention provides operands which are substantially larger than the data path with of the processor by using the contents of a general purpose register to specify a memory address at which a plurality of data path widths of data can be read or written, as well as the size and shape of the operand. In addition, several instructions and apparatus for implementing these instructions are described which obtain performance advantages if the operands are not limited to the width and accessible number of general purpose registers.

Abstract:
Systems and apparatuses are presented relating a programmable processor comprising an execution unit that is operable to decode and execute instructions received from an instruction path and partition data stored in registers in the register file into multiple data elements, the execution unit capable of executing group data handling operations that re-arrange data elements in different ways in response to data handling instructions, the execution unit further capable of executing a plurality of different group floating-point and group integer arithmetic operations that each arithmetically operates on the multiple data elements stored in registers in the register file to produce a catenated result that is returned to a register in the register file, wherein the catenated result comprises a plurality of individual results.
Abstract:
A control and distribution system provides electrical power distribution, audio signal distribution, and control signal distribution to one or more audio components, such as a powered loudspeaker element or a signal conditioning device such as a rack-mounted amplifier. Embodiments allow for the monitoring and/or control of parameters and/or components at or near the endpoint of the system. These parameters or components include low-level parameters associated with the external audio devices, as opposed to merely higher level parameters of the system. The control and distribution system may include an uninterrupted power source for providing power in an online or offline mode to selected components of the external audio devices. In some embodiments, online backup power is provided to low-power components without providing power to amplifiers within the external audio devices.
