Abstract:
PURPOSE: A DNA marker for identifying pork meat quality using SNP of muscle-specific microRNA-206 region is provided to early diagnose an individual with improved meat quality and to develop high quality meat. CONSTITUTION: A DNA marker for identifying pork meat quality comprises 15-700 continuous sequences containing 207th base(T), 299th base(T), 300th base(G), or 420th base(G). The DNA marker enhances the number of muscle fibers in pork meat and muscle fiber type IIa ratio of cross section of pork meat. The DNA marker improved meat quality by reducing muscle fiber type IIb ratio and drip loss or lightness.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A DNA marker for detecting pork meat quality containing SNP of a PPARGC1A gene 3'-UTR region is provided to improve pork meat quality. CONSTITUTION: A DNA marker for detecting pork meat quality contains continuous 15-800 sequences with 2782th base, C, in sequence number 1. The marker enhances muscle type I in pork muscle fibers and enhances pH concentration which is a character relating to meat quality. A primer for detecting SNP relating to meat quality in a 3'UTR region of pork PPARGC1A gene has an oligonucleotide of sequence numbers 2 and 3. A kit for SNP analysis contains a probe for complementarily binding the DNA marker.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A composition containing Pueraria lobata extract is provided to enhance 3beta-HSD expression and remove boar taint from male pig. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting androstenone decomposition by 3beta-HSD(hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase) in hepatocytes contains Pueraria lobata extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using water, ethanol, methanol, propylene glycol, butylenes glycol, hydrous ethanol, hydrous propylene glycol, hydrous butylenes glycol, or glycerin. A feed additive for removing boar taint by porcine androstenone contains the extract as an active ingredient.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) open reading frame 3 (ORF3)-specific primer set of sequence numbers 2 and 3 and a probe of sequence number 4, and a method for quantitative analysis of PCV2 DNA in porcine blood using the same. According to the present invention, it can be useful in monitoring a farm and an individual-level PCV2 by precisely checking a virus blood disease level and PCV2 infection using a living porcine blood sample without autopsy.
