    Abstract: PURPOSE: A novel compound isolated from Phomopsis lingicolla ssp. and a method for preparing the same are provided to develop antibiotics and to ensure antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: A novel compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound of chemical formula 1 is obtained by isolating culture liquid of Phomopsis lingicolla ssp. or chemically synthesized. A method for preparing the compound of chemical formula 1 or derivative thereof comprises: a step of culturing Phomopsis lingicolla ssp. and isolating spawn lump from the culture liquid; a step of adding a polar solvent to the spawn lump and filtering to obtain a crude extract; a step of extracting the crude extract with non-polar solvent and decompressing; and a step of performing gel filtration chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography. A pharmaceutical formulation contains the compound of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.
