Abstract: PURPOSE: A character input method which uses multi-touch is provided to easily input a character and to increase the convenience of character input. CONSTITUTION: If a character input mode is processed, a control unit outputs a character input screen(201,205). If the character input mode is not processed, the control unit performs a corresponding function(203). A first touch about a keypad area is generated and the control unit inputs the corresponding character in a character area(207,209,213). If there is a touch release event, the control unit confirms the completion of the character input mode(215,217).
