Abstract: An air conditioner is provided to distinguish a refrigerant pipe connected to a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet through mutual step height formed between the refrigerant inlet and the refrigerant outlet to prevent erroneous insertion of the refrigerant pipe, thereby preventing a failure of a freezing cycle. An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit(10), a compressor(20) contained in the outdoor unit, and an accumulator(40) connected with the compressor for separating a refrigerant into gaseous refrigerant and liquid refrigerant. The accumulator includes a cylindrical casing having a refrigerant inlet(62) and a refrigerant outlet(63), and a tubular refrigerant separating pipe installed in the casing for discharging the liquid refrigerant to the inside of the casing while discharging the gaseous refrigerant to the refrigerant outlet. The refrigerant outlet and the refrigerant inlet are protruded at an upper part of the casing, forming mutual step height.
