Abstract: 스팀 생성 시 사용되는 물에 함유되어 있는 경수 성분의 이온을 제거함에 있어서 환경 오염이 없을 뿐만 아니라, 간편하게 재생할 수 있는 연수유닛을 구비하는 스팀청소기가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 스팀청소기는 스팀 청소를 위한 스팀청소유닛과 스팀청소유닛에 공급되는 물을 연수화하기 위한 연수유닛을 포함하는 스팀청소기에 있어서, 연수유닛은 다공성 전극에 전원을 인가하여 물 속에 포함되어 있는 경수 성분의 이온을 연수 동작 시 전극에 흡착하고, 재생 동작 시 전극으로부터 제거하기 때문에, 종래와 같이 이온교환수지 재생을 위해 소금물을 투여할 필요가 없으며, 나아가 전극의 극성을 변환시키는 것만으로도 간편하게 연수유닛의 재생이 이루어진다.

Abstract: A water softener is provided not to inject a NaCl solution for regenerating an ion-exchange resin and to supply continuously soft water. A water softener without injecting a NaCl solution in an ion exchanger contains ion exchangers(21A, 21B) including an ion-exchange resin.
