    Abstract: An apparatus of attaching a polarizing film is provided to stably attach the polarizing film to a substrate by pressing the polarizing film and the substrate while maintaining parallelism therebetween. A first support unit(40) supports one of a substrate(20) and a polarizing film(30). A second support unit(60) supports the other of the substrate and the polarizing film. Parallelism is maintained between the substrate and the polarizing film and one of the first and second support units approaches and presses the other. The first support unit and the second support unit include a first absorbing member(51) and a second absorbing member having a plurality of vacuum holes so as to support the substrate and the polarizing film using a predetermined vacuum pressure, respectively.

    Abstract: A method of attaching a polarizing film is provided to improve the stability of a polarizing film attachment and the space utility of an equipment by pressing a polarizing film and a substrate facing each other while maintaining parallelism therebetween. A substrate(10) and a polarizing film(20) are disposed such that they face each other. The substrate and the polarizing film are pressed while maintaining parallelism therebetween. The substrate and the polarizing film are disposed such that other side of the substrate faces the polarizing film. The substrate and the polarizing film are pressed while maintaining parallelism between other side of the substrate and the polarizing film. Both surfaces of the substrate are cleaned with ultrasonic waves. The both surfaces of the substrate are cleaned with deionized water. Air is sprayed on the both surfaces of the substrate to dry the substrate.

    Abstract: An apparatus for exfoliating a film protecting layer is provided to eliminate the need of expendable adhesive tapes, thereby reducing the production cost, by exfoliating the film protecting layer from a polarization film using an adhesive roller when removing the film protecting layer. An apparatus is configured to remove protection layers(4a,4b) attached on a polarization film(3) for a substrate of an LCD. The apparatus comprises a film supporter(11) for supporting the polarization film. A roller(20) has an adhesive material on an outer surface thereof to be attachable to the protection layers. A roller supporter(30) rotatively supports the roller. A driver(40) drives the roller supporter such that the roller, on which the protection layer is attached, is movable to the polarization film.
