PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiving device and a method for controlling a demonstrate operation of the same are provided to enable an external device to perform a demonstrate operation corresponding to each step, thereby enabling a user to quickly and easily learn how to use the external device. CONSTITUTION: A display(160) displays a method for using an external device. A controller(185) controls the external device to perform a demonstrate operation corresponding to the displayed method. The controller controls the external device to perform a demonstrate operation corresponding to each step included in the method for using the external device. An authentication unit(180) authenticates the external device. If the authentication unit authenticates the external device, the controller controls the display to display the method for using the external device.

A method for transmitting and receiving data generated in an application according to HDMI CEC is provided to transmit data by using HDMI CEC, thereby realizing fast transmission of AV data. A DTV controller of a DTV(100) produces application data(S310). The DTV controller drives an HDMI CEC processor to generate an HDMI CEC message including application data(S320). The DTV controller transmits the generated HDMI CEC message to a DVDR through a DTV HDMI interface(S330). The HDMI CEC processor of the DTV controller extracts application data from the HDMI CEC message and transmits the extracted application data to a corresponding application(S340).

A method for providing coordinate information and an image apparatus to which the same is applied are provided to supply coordinate information to an external apparatus connected to a TV by using a remote controller, therefore a user can use a TV remote controller like a PC mouse. A TV determines whether to receive a coordinate information usable message from a PC(S300). It is determined whether a user inputs coordinate information by using a remote controller if the coordinate information usable message is received(S305). If the user inputs the coordinate information by using the remote controller, a TV controller generates a coordinate information transmitting message(S310). The TV controller transmits the coordinate information transmitting message to the PC through a TV HDMI interface(S320). And the PC controller moves a pointer to a coordinate corresponding to the received coordinate information transmitting message. And then, the PC controller generates an image signal with regard to the moved pointer and transmits the image signal to the TV.

A method for distributing sub-carriers among plural cells is provided to suppress an inter-cell interference in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system by effectively distributing the sub-carriers to cells and to increase the transmission speed by wideband according to increasing the number of carrier. When a station in a first cell is interfered by a second cell, an existence of the second cell is notified to a coordinator of the first cell. A sub-carrier between coordinators of the first and second cells is distributed to the cell. An inter-block guide band of the subcarriers(110,120) is arranged in the cell. Data rates of the coordinators are calculated and the calculated data rates are compared with each other. The sub-carriers are distributed to the cells according to the calculated data rates.

A PLC(Power Line Communication) security camera using a bulb socket, a PLC decoder box, and a PLC security system including the same are provided to process security data transmitted from the PLC security camera. A socket connecting unit having a power inlet(110) connects to a bulb socket(70) located in a high place in home, and transmits and receives a power signal including a data signal through an electric receptacle of the bulb socket(70). An image data generating unit has an MCU(Micro Controller Unit)(130), an encoder(140), a DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(150), and a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) image sensor(160). The image data generating unit photographs a certain part in the home where the bulb socket(70) is installed, generates image data, and compresses the generated image data. A signal combining unit having a PLC module(120) combines the compressed image data with the power signal, and transmits the combined signal to the socket connecting unit.

A PLC(Power Line Communication) AP(Access Point), a PLC cabinet panel using the AP, and a PLC system using the panel are provided to adopt an infrastructure mode for PLC, thereby avoiding attenuation when a PLC signal passes through the cabinet panel while the PLC signal does not leak through a power line. More than one of HPFs(High Pass Filters)(221,222,...22n) is connected with one of internal power lines(11,12,13,...1n) to block power signals incoming from the power lines(11,12,13,...1n), and passes data signals. More than one of baseband processors(251,252,...25n) individually processes the data signals, and processes channel allocation of subnets corresponding to each of the power lines(11,12,13,...1n). A signal relay unit(230) analyzes the data signals to determine power lines to which the data signals are to be delivered, and delivers the data signals to baseband processors connected to the determined power lines.

An apparatus and method for adaptively controlling a buffering amount according to a content attribute in receiving audio-video data are provided. The method includes determining the number of frames to be stored according to frame information extracted from received packets, connecting and storing the packets by frames within a range of the determined number of frames, and outputting the packets connected and stored by frames to a decoder.

본 발명은 유무선 네트워크 환경에서 미디어 컨텐츠를 제공하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 미디어 컨텐츠 길이 계산 방법은 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 길이 및 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 포함된 정보들의 길이를 계산하고, 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 길이 및 정보들의 길이로부터 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에 포함된 미디어 컨텐츠의 길이를 계산함으로써, 미디어 컨텐츠의 종단을 계산하기 어려운 실시간 트랜스코딩의 경우에도 디지털 미디어 클라이언트에 미디어 컨텐츠의 길이를 제공할 수 있다.
