Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for checking and rejecting a calling number of an origination subscriber is provided to allow a user to reject an incoming call from an undesired origination subscriber and immediately check a phone number of the origination subscriber. CONSTITUTION: When an origination subscriber attempts a call, a call control processor of the origination side informs a destination side accordingly. An NTR of the destination side requests destination occupancy from an ASC(Analog Subscriber Control) of an ASS(Access Switching Subsystem) to which a corresponding subscriber is connected(211). The destination side informs the origination side about the destination occupancy(212). The origination side outputs a number of the origination subscriber and the destination side receives the number(213). Abstract: A soft switch system for processing calls as interworking with an HLR(Home Location Register) and a method thereof are provided to execute call connections between telephone network subscribers and mobile network subscribers without the necessity of adding a new mobile communication infrastructure unnecessarily. A soft switch system(300) for processing calls as interworking with an HLR comprises a call processing part(100) and a message transceiver part(200). The call processing part(100), if a call originated from a telephone network subscriber is supplied, translates the destination number. In case the destination number is a mobile communication number, the call processing part(100) creates an inquiry message and provides it to the message transceiver part(200). The message transceiver part(200) encodes the inquiry message into a MAP(Mobile Access Protocol) message and transmits it to the HLR through an SS7(Signaling System 7) network.
