    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for drying hollow timber which comprises the following steps: molding hollow holes on a large section of a timber; and drying the large section timber with the hollow holes using hot air. The method additionally includes a step of providing a moisture separation preventing unit on the outer surface of the large section timber with the hollow holes. By applying the moisture separation preventing unit, the evaporation of the moisture from the outer surface is controlled, and the moisture is evaporated inside the hollow holes to prevent the generation of cleaving which is a defect generated from drying and improving the drying speed.
