Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for forming a fiber grating and a method for measuring temperature using the same are provided to be used for a temperature sensor by measuring the variation of the transmissivity of a fiber grating. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber is fixed to the support stand of a specific shape(S110). A periodic fiber grating is formed by assigning a fixed grid generation cycle, winding a wire or a ribbon with the optical fiber which is fixed to the support stand, and applying constant pressure(S120). The change of the grid generation cycle is determined and the wire or the ribbon is removed from the optical fiber which is fixed to the support stand(S140).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A temperature sensor is provided to enable the state of an electric instrument to be sensed in real time. CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor comprises chemical(320), a mirror(330), optical fiber(310), and a green lens(410). The chemical absorbs only a specific wavelength of light over a specific temperature. The mirror reflects light which has passed through the chemical. The optical fiber is attached to one side of the chemical. The green lens is inserted between the end of the optical fiber and one side of the chemical.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Hybrid radar using RF-optical signals and a distance measuring method using the same are provided to accurately measure the distance to a target. CONSTITUTION: Hybrid radar (100) using RF-optical signals includes an RF signal processing unit (110), an optical signal processing unit (120), and a distance estimating unit (130). The RF signal processing unit generates RF transmission signals, which are frequency modulation signals, transmits the signals to a target, and receives RF reception signals being reflected. The optical signal processing unit generates optical reception signals in which the RF reception signals are photo-modulated, transmits the signals to the target, and receives the optical reception signals being reflected. The distance estimating unit estimates the distance to the target by using the RF reception signals and the optical reception signals.
