Abstract:
A 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, its preparation method, and an agent for treating or preventing diabetes containing the derivative or salt are provided to improve the effect for treating or preventing diabetes by the dual acting to PPAR(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) alpha or gamma. A 2-ethoxypropionic acid derivative is represented by the formula 1, 2 or 3, wherein X is H, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C5-C7 aryl group, OH, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C5 alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C5 alkylsulfonyl group; Z is a specific group containing a nitrogen atom; n is an integer of 0-5 and is determined by Z; and R1 and R2 are H, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C4 alkyl group.

PURPOSE: Provided are diterpene derivatives which are synthesized from the material extracted from Acanthopanax Koreanum, and antiphlogistics containing the derivatives. CONSTITUTION: The diterpene derivatives are represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 is a vinyl group or phenylethyl group; and R2 is carboxyl group, carboxy homoallyl group, carboxy pentadienyl group, carboxy hexyl group, carboxy hexatrienyl group, carboxy heptadienyl group, carboxy methyl butadienyl group, carboxy dimethyl pentadienyl group, carboxy methyl pentadienyl group, carboxy methyl pentenyl group, carboxy methyl pentyl group, carbamoyl pentadienyl group, (N-methoxy)carbamoyl pentadienyl group, (N-pipsyl)carbamoyl pentadienyl group, (N-methanesulfonyl)carbamoyl pentadienyl group, or (N-chloropyridine)carbamoyl pentadienyl group.
